- How long does the illumination last? Will the hands glow all night or do they need to be exposed to light again ?
- Hello Larry! For the Expedition® Field Post Titanium Automatic 41mm Leather Strap Watch, the illumination from the hands is based on luminescent paint that absorbs light. It typically glow for 4 to 8 hours on a single charge. It will glow in the dark after exposure, but it will not last all night without being recharged by light. For continuous readability, the watch relies on exposure to a light source before use in darkness.
- The watch makes noise when I move my wrist. I assume that’s the winding agent. Does that go away?
- Hi Doug! The sound you’re noticing when moving your wrist is indeed the rotor inside the automatic movement, which winds the watch as you wear it. This is a normal characteristic of automatic watches and does not go away, as it’s part of the self‑winding mechanism.
