Inspired by the remarkable spirit of American aviators throughout history, our Waterbury Traditional Fly Back Chronograph pays homage to those who’ve dared to push the limits and claim the sky.
Fly back chronograph watches were originally developed for pilots, who often require split-second accuracy and rapid consecutive timing. With our proprietary fly back chronograph movement, a single press of the fly back pusher instantly resets the chronograph to display the current time in the current lap without the need to stop and reset. This particular watch movement provides a great advantage to pilots by allowing them to pinpoint their direction to the nearest second and avoid deviation from their route.
We've equipped this hardworking timepiece with several reliable features and notable details: a blue or black dial housing fan-shaped sub-dials at 4 o'clock and 10 o'clock with retrograde hands, a date window positioned at 2:30, luminous hour and minute hands for better visibility in lowlight conditions, 100m of water resistance, and a robust 43mm stainless-steel case that's resistant to scratches, corrosion, rust, and daily wear and tear. The iconic stylized W of the Waterbury Watch Company logo is displayed on the crown, sweep second hand, and beside the 7th hour marker, and when the chronograph isn’t in use, the upper sub-dial doubles as a second time zone indicator.
