If you’ve got a guy on your list who needs a new watch, you’ve found the right starting point.
Here at Timex we do just one thing — that’s watches — but we do it very well, and we do it in a lot of ways that address specific wants and needs. Does he need a GPS watch to track his runs and bike rides while he trains for a triathlon? Is he starting a new job soon that demands a certain level of formality? Maybe he just really wants a simpler way to keep track of laundry loads or pots of pasta without using a phone alarm — analog chronographs are great for that.
But then there are the big occasions — is he just about to graduate, start college, get married or hit another great milestone in his life? For each of these big moments, or even if none of them apply right now, there’s a right way to gift him a Timex. And what better excuse for gifting a watch than the winter holiday season?
FOR THE ENDURANCE ATHLETE: TIMEX IRONMAN R300
We know there’s no finish line. That’s why we built our TIMEX® IRONMAN® R300 GPS watch for constant improvement. This smartwatch is packed with a powerhouse battery, guided workouts from elite athletes and coaches, continuous optical heart rate monitoring and more, delivering a range of performance metrics to help you tune your workouts and reach your running goals. The crisp sunlight-readable display, simple user interface and robust mobile connectivity come together for a made-for-sports smartwatch that will have no trouble keeping up with you.
FOR THE CLOCK WATCHER: TIMEX STANDARD CHRONOGRAPH
A casual way to wear a classic chronograph, the careful attention to detail allows the Timex Standard to shine as one of our most refined everyday watches. Designed with versatility in mind, this chronograph brings together classic elements with modern materials and easily interchangeable straps. The blue chronograph dial and brown leather strap complement the silver-tone case and traditional oversized crown, a nod to our original wrist watch.
FOR THE WATCH ENTHUSIAST: TIMEX GIORGIO GALLI S1 AUTOMATIC
Our Milan-based design director Giorgio Galli knows what makes Timex tick better than anyone. That’s why we asked him to create the most “Timex” Timex ever made, a watch that combines our shared love of quality, accessibility and great design. Giorgio answered with the S1 Automatic. This elegant timepiece features details that could only have come from Giorgio — a high-accuracy automatic movement, a fully-custom case design and a domed K1 mineral crystal. The watch ships with a high-durability strap in soft synthetic rubber that features an exclusive riveted strap-keeper design. Under the watch’s sweeping hands is a synthetic ruby set into the silvery dial, where moments pass in an effortless glide that will capture your attention again and again — even when you already know perfectly well what time it is.
FOR THE NOSTALGIA LOVER: Q TIMEX FALCON EYE
Following on the heels of our Q Timex 1979 reissue, Q Timex Falcon Eye adds some two-tone refinement to our Q Timex series. Reissued for today, we recreated every detail – a period-correct woven stainless-steel bracelet, functional battery hatch, two-tone case, luminescent paint and a striated electric-blue dial. The result is a refined watch retaining every ounce of soul and character from the era that inspired it.
FOR THE MODERN SOPHISTICATE: MARLIN AUTOMATIC
Our iconic 1960s Marlin® case gets an aesthetic refresh. Ticking inside is a tried and true 21 jewel automatic movement, creating a contemporary timepiece that honors our watchmaking history. Powered by your motion as you wear the watch, the movement can store a maximum 40 hours of energy. If motionless longer than 40 hours, wind the watch using the crown until you feel resistance, set it and place the watch back on your wrist where every motion will provide energy for the movement. True to our original Marlin® design, the stainless steel case and black dial are complemented by a classic stainless steel mesh band and its iconic domed acrylic crystal. KEEP ON TICKING®
FOR THE STUDENT: TIMEX T80
Our T80 is a throwback to the decade that gave us big hair, big music and big dreams. It also pays homage to our first digital watches, some of the first to hit the market. To honor those early hits, we’re proudly reintroducing the T80 for a whole new generation – a watch that’s both a stylish accessory and a serious timekeeping device. The fun retro design packs a date display, a stopwatch and an alarm into something that looks great no matter where you’re going from here. Rock your T80 on an expansion band, a bracelet or even a strap of your choice – we don’t mind, as long as you rock it. Note: The circumference on our T80 expansion band watch is 183mm. Additional links can be removed to make the watch smaller.
FOR THE HOMETOWN HERO: AMERICAN DOCUMENTS WATCH
Just like our very first mantel clocks, 165 years ago, our American Documents® collection layers American ingenuity and craftsmanship with European precision to create a truly amazing timepiece. This American-made watch is drop forged in US-sourced stainless steel and hand finished to a brushed satin with a highly polished top ring. The Gorilla® Glass 3 protects the white sub-second dial and gold-plated Swiss movement with its high resistance to scratches and sharp content damage. The rich black leather strap is made with American hides by American craftsmen. And right down to the details, the “Aged Waterbury Brass” case back coin and crown insert honor our original stamped brass clocks from 1854. Each American Documents watch arrives in a solid cherry wood case that is hand rubbed to a natural finish. An inlaid magnetic closure and brass hinges secure the felt-lined custom setting for the rare occasions when the watch is not being worn.
FOR THE TRADITIONALIST: WATERBURY TRADITIONAL AUTOMATIC
We applied a new movement to an old favorite. Ticking inside is a tried-and-true 21 jewel automatic movement for a more accurate, longer lasting timepiece. Powered by your motion as you wear the watch, the movement can store a maximum 40 hours of energy. If motionless longer than 40 hours, wind the watch using the crown until you feel resistance, set it and place the watch back on your wrist where every motion will provide energy for the movement. The stainless-steel case is complemented by its black dial and black croco-pattern natural leather strap. Like our craftsmanship and commitment to our heritage, some things are just automatic.
FOR THE TOOL-WATCH GUY: NAVI XL AUTOMATIC
Our best inspiration is always found while searching our archives. Our Navi XL Automatic brings together the design of our earliest dive watches and a highly reliable modern 21-jewel automatic movement, so your watch keeps ticking as long as you keep moving. Powered by your motion, the movement has a 40-hour power reserve and can also be wound with the crown. The stainless-steel case with a rotating top ring, blue dial and stainless-steel mesh bracelet provide a modern take on this vintage design.
