IRONMAN GPS 38mm Silicone Strap Watch is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried it out for the first time today I got this watch yesterday just in time for a 5k today. The computer setup was easy, it's nice that you can do your screen settings in the computer app rather than having to do it on the watch. It takes a couple of minutes to find GPS and it is big but otherwise I loved using it today. It vibrates every mile and it made noise and vibrated and told me what a great job I did after the race. It's nice being able to see my distance, pace, and time all in one place. Stopping the workout didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked but I'm sure it's just because it was the first time I'd used it and I was probably fumbling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, Easy, and Affordable I've been using the watch for a little over a week now and it's been great. I've used other GPS Watches in the past so the price is what initially drew me to this one, and it's well worth the money. If you are just looking for a nice GPS watch that is affordable (easily the cheapest on the market) that works great then this is the one for you. I've tried Running and Hiking with it so far. GPS has worked great every time, taking less than a minute to find signal. Seems to be accurate based off of my past watches too. Computer setup is easy and you can be out the door running in no time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should call it, Timex GPS Made Easy! As a sponsored athlete with the Timex Multisport Team, I'm often gifted access to new Timex sports watches before they hit the open market. And this GPS watch has been, by far, the easiest to learn and easiest to use! Hands down. I've been using it since March of 2017 for everything from swimming, to cycling and running. I even wear it when I'm not training. I wish I had one favorite feature but I don't. For the price, it's a no-brainer. It's a great watch for beginners who just want time, distance and pace and still versatile enough for triathletes like me who need it for all three sports in one day. It's absolutely worth a try.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Watch For The Price I bought this to give my phone battery a break. My original idea was to buy a GPS based cycling computer, but they're expensive (even the low end models) and I would have to buy a mounting system for each of my bikes (N+1). This watch is a great option, giving me up-to-date ride data, without having to pull my phone out of my pocket (and even risk dropping it). Is it perfect? No. But for the price, it's brilliant. What's Good: Inexpensive. Good quality. Light. Simple to use. My Wish List: • Some sort of wireless connection with a phone version of the desktop app. • Auto stop/start feature. I get stuck at red lights for up to 5 mins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the watch for me I like that the watch is basic and intuitive. It is not difficult to use. It is big, but it is fine to wear. I like the large time and the ability to see the day and date. I used it for a run today, and it seemed as accurate as the app on my phone that I was using. It is my first GPS watch. I already enjoy this watch. I had a problem linking it to the computer, but when I called Timex they walked me through the set up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A step backwards I ordered this watch as soon as it was released. I've been using the Timex M434 GPS since 2010. I really like it and would still be using it but the battery doesn't hold a charge for very long anymore. All I need and use in a GPS watch is time, distance and pace. Unfortunately this new Ironman fails on distance and pace. I have used it on various long and short runs. It is no faster locking on to a signal than my old Timex, sometimes up to 2 minutes for a lock, on a cloudless sunny day. On a recent known distance 18 mile run it had me at 19.6 miles which in turn throws the pace tracking completely off. On another run of 5.25 miles it had a reading of 4.14 miles, again pace could not be accurately measured. Sadly this watch just does not accurately measure the basic functions of a GPS watch and is useless as a training device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect budget-friendly GPS watch I first learned of the Ironman GPS watch in early 2017 and waited over 6 months for it... but it was worth the wait! I've just recently gotten into running and triathlons and wanted a budget-friendly watch to get started with - at $100, this was perfect for what I needed! My only complaint is the syncing mechanism between my computer and watch glitches up often and I get prompted for updates from the watch, but when I plug it into my computer, the Timex app doesn't seem to think it needs to update - I've only been prompted once since I've gotten the watch to update the app... which in turn helps manage all the settings on the watch... Overall, though, I am very pleased with this purchase. (I do wish that I would've been given the option to customize which color band and watch face combo I wanted - instead of needing to purchase another band that suited my preference.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly Good with one Very Bad Flaw!!! This watch works reasonably well as a GPS however it has one very annoying flaw. After a week it prompts you every single day to connect the watch to a computer and update the GPS database. There is no way of stopping these annoying prompts. I don't need to update my database on a weekly basis, particularly if I am out of town on a hiking trip. This could be easily corrected with a software update allowing the user to set the prompts as desired but Timex has not done so yet. I hope they change this feature it gets tiresome to clear these on a daily basis. I would have recommended the watch if it did not behave as above.
