Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Army Watch This is my third Timex Expedition in 13 years. My first Expedition was one of the older ones and got filled up with sand and filth on my first deployment to Iraq. My second one my brother swiped while I was on leave. This one I got for my second deployment to Iraq and has lasted me 6 years. No dirt inside this one. Between the analog and the two digital times I can set Local, Home Station, and Zulu times zones. The nylon strap can have all the dirt and sweat scrubbed out of it unlike leather. The Battle Brown/OD Green/Desert Tan and Black goes perfectly with the new multicam ACUs. Only thing wrong with mine is the plastic keeper for the excess strap finally broke off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still serving me after 9 years I've had this watch for 9 years now and have been wearing it daily. The rotating bezel broke off fairly quickly, but I didn't really use it and it only affected the watch aesthetically. Finally, after about 6 years, the Indiglo and Mode buttons broke off. As a result, these functions no longer work, but I was able to close the holes left behind with some Amazing Goop adhesive and the watch has remained watertight ever since. The entire time I've had the watch, I've regularly worn it in the shower and while swimming and kayaking. Now I find myself looking for a watch to gift a friend, and I've come right back to this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from lite weight but band not comfortable i wanted a watch for the outdoors & chose this one: watch is very light weight barly know you have on. the hands & numbers are easy to read at a glance. even though its plastic if seams rugged. the LED part is very small & not something u can quickly look at & read the numbers. my con is the band is stiff & not comfortable. the edges tend to dig into wirst. also the band tip has a square end making it hard to slide into the little loop after buckleing it on. hopefully the band will become softer with time. also the manual is on line only & not that clear as it includes sever models with similar button functions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works. My dad gave me his expedition when I was a kid. I ended up giving that one to my little brother when he graduated high school. My girlfriend gave me this model soon after we started dating. I lost that one rock climbing when I was out in Oregon for my grandfathers funeral. Went to Argentina for a conference and my ,now, wife baught me this one off a street vender after she saw it was the same model that she had gotten me before. I'm kind of rough on gear, but this is my third in my life, and none of em have broken yet. I haven't had any other watches so I don't have much of a basis for comparison, but I'll get another when I finally loose or smash this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the perfect watch. A factory workers dream I've been using these watches for 10+ years with a setup for plant operation. Analog for quick glance, 24H digital/date for mil. timed paperwork, 2 alarms for shiftwork AM/PM wakeup, hourly chime keeps me on track without a glance, bezel for those timed NMT steps in the paperwork (Not More Than 35 min.).Water resistant so my watch goes on once and stays while I clean up, shower and swim. The band does clean up easy and is very comfortable. The style goes great with my outside activities. Cons, I too have been through 3-4 of these watches and yes the crown broke off most. When I didn't find a replacement locally I was afraid they discontinued this watch. I bought two online just in case!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the analog/digital features of this watch I just purchased my 3rd watch. The first one lasted 12 years being used in Montana as my outdoor watch for fishing, hunting, camping, etc. It was finally beat up enough that my wife bought me a second one 6 years ago. Unfortunately the stem broke off when trying to change to daylight savings time. It still works but I am unable to set the time and it will only last until the battery runs out. I have an upcoming trip that will take me several time zones away and I wanted a fullt functional watch that will track the different time zones, so after looking around at other analog/digital watches I came back to purchase mt 3rd Expedition. I really do like the watch I just hope they fixed the stem problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware I have had four of these because I think it is one of the most versatile watches out there however the time setting knob breaks each time in the same place. I don't abuse this watch and in fact only change the time for dst and maybe a couple times a year when I travel in other time zones. I love this watch and am very disappointed this has happened yet again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keeps breaking I'm on my second one of these. The knob for adjusting the time broke off so I sent it in for warranty service. They sent me a new one and within a month the knob broke off again. Poorly made.
