A: Go to the Apple iTunes store or Google Play store to download and install the Timex Pay Application on your mobile phone. When you open the application a screen with a link to register with Timex Pay will be presented. Click on the link and follow the instructions to complete the registration process

A: Your Timex Pay wearable does not require a battery to Tap and Pay and does not need to be charged at any time. The companion UPPU clip also does not need to be charged but will need to be connected to a power source when adding a card to the Timex Pay wearable

Q: How do I make a payment with Timex Pay?

A: The NFC antenna that enables the Tap and Pay functionality on the watch is built into the short end of the watch strap. This is indicated by the payment symbol on the back of your strap. To pay with the Timex Pay wearable, hold the watch strap close to the card reader on the merchant's point of sale terminal when it is ready to accept payment.

Q: Where can I use my Timex Pay wearable to pay?

A: You can use Timex Pay enabled wearables at any point of sale terminal that accepts contactless cards or payment wallets.

Q: Is there a payment limit?

A: In most situations the transaction limit will be the same as your physical card but your issuer may have bank specific limits for wearable payments.

Q: Can I use Timex Pay to pay for transit?

A: Timex Pay enabled wearables can be used on public transport where there is an acceptance of Mastercard and Visa payment.

Q: Can I use Timex Pay abroad?

A: Your Timex Pay wearable will be accepted on payment terminals that accept contactless payments. Look out for the contactless logo

Q: Do I need to enter a pin code to make a payment using Timex Pay?

A: You do not need to enter a pin code to make a contactless payment up to the contactless limit set within that specific country. In some countries, where the contactless limit is higher, you are able to enter your card pin on the terminal or verify the payment in the application.

Q: Do I need my phone close by to make a payment?

A: You do not need your phone to make a payment.

Q: How many cards can I add to my wearable?

A: You can only add and have 1 payment card active at a time on the wearable.

Q: How can I add a payment card to the wearable?

A: Once you connect the wearable on the mobile application
a. Tap on “Add New Card” on the mobile application home page
b. Follow the instructions on the mobile application
c. Once the card is added, you may be required to authenticate with your bank for security reasons to activate and use the wearable for contactless payments

Q: How do I connect my wearable to the Timex Pay wallet?

A: You need the UPPU Clip to connect your wearable through Timex Pay mobile application. Please follow the instructions in the application.

Q: Where can I view my Timex Pay transaction history?

A: Fraudulent purchases are governed by the same policies as your contactelss card. Please check with your issuing bank.

A: Currently you can add Chase Visa cards to your wearable. Soon you will be able to add Mastercard cards as well as cards from other issuers. Please sign up here to receive updates when new banks are added.
