How can I be sure the watch strap, band or bracelet will fit my wrist?

To ensure the watch strap, band or bracelet is a good fit first measure your wrist circumference. There are different size fits depending on whether you purchased a men’s, women’s or kid’s watch, as well as whether your watch has a bracelet/mesh band/strap or an expansion band. Note as well that Timex has two types of expansion band, one with PerfectFit and one without (this information is included on your watch’s product page).

The measurements below will fit any wrist circumferences within range.

Link bracelet

Men’s Link bracelet, mesh band and strap watches: 5.9 – 8.1 inches (150 - 205mm)
Women’s Link bracelet, mesh band and strap watches: 5.3 – 7.5 inches (135 - 190mm)
Link bracelet watches can be sized to the smallest size by removing all of the removable links but requires the necessary tools and/or jeweler assistance.

Expansion band

Men’s Expansion band: 7.2 – 8.1 inches (183 - 205mm)
Women’s Expansion band: 6.5 – 7.5 inches (166 - 190mm)
Note these dimensions are for the normal and maximum wrist fit.

The band can expand to 11.0 inches to pass over the knuckles but cannot be worn comfortably on your wrist at this size.

PerfectFit Expansion band

Men’s PerfectFit Expansion band: 5.9 – 8.1 inches (150 - 205mm)
Women’s PerfectFit Expansion band: 5.3 – 7.5 inches (135 - 190mm)

PerfectFit expansion bands allow you to easily remove links without tools. If the links separate once placed on the wrist, additional links can be obtained through customer service and added to the band to make it larger for a more comfortable fit.

Note these dimensions are for the normal and maximum wrist fit. The band can expand to 11.0 inches to pass over the knuckles but cannot be worn comfortably on your wrist at this size.

How can I be sure the watch case will be the right size on my wrist?

To ensure a good watch case fit on your wrist it is important to first measure your wrist circumference and know the case width of the watch you wish to wear.

For Timex watches, the watch case width or diameter measurement is featured in the product name and under the “Specs” section of each product page. Measurements are in millimeters and range from 29mm (small kids watches) to 53mm (oversized digital watches).

The right size of watch for your wrist is completely subjective; there is no uniform size than can be considered too big or too small.
