I have used this watch for several weeks and have found it very easy to use and very accurate except for one aspect. The average pace calculation is always incorrect by 5 seconds or more in a 5K race and 10 to 15 seconds off in a 10 K race. For example, I ran a 5K in 30 minutes which is a pace of (:38 per mile and the watch showed ! 44 per mile. Any Suggestions?

I like this watch, don't love it but like it. Maybe my beef with it, may seem pointless to others. Unless I'm missing something, the beep which occurs once you have reached a pre set distance is barely audible so I find myself squinting to see which mile i'm at (as the distance digits are fairly small) It's good for an inexpensive gps watch, I've found it to be pretty accurate. Good if you want it to just give you an account of your time, pace and distance. GPS finds satellites quickly in my experience.

Easy to read face and layout. The GPS is not real accurate. Maybe I was expecting more for my first GPS watch. It measures short, meaning you will reach a mile before the watch does. On a 400 meter track this watch is almost 10 meters off.
The average pace is not accurate at all. It is anywhere from 3 to 12 seconds slower than what should be displayed for the distance measured. So, if the average pace is off that much I don't have much confidence in the "instant" pace displayed while running.
Timex told me to first reset the watch by depressing all six buttons at the same time and holding them until the display reset. I did that twice and still the same problem. So, Timex said to return it to their repair center in Arkansas to be fixed or replaced. They sent the same watch back and apparently only reset it like I did because I still have the same average pace problem. It does not work. For an eleven mile run today it was off by 10.9 seconds (too much). For $100 you get what you pay for. Perhaps you might be one of the few lucky customers and get one that works correctly.
