I brought the watch because it has a good timex style, but realize this is the worst timex watch i've brought. The GPS only works when it wants to, and it always take a minimum of 5 minute before it gets a signal. The pace and distance is never correct, and signal always lost after displaying full bar. Claiming 8 hours battery that cannot hold for 4 hours, very dissappointed and hope timex will do a better job next time. This is by far the worst i've had.

I do not have any problem with the delayed GPS signal or the malfunction of the watch. I have no problem with the distance either. I haven't checked the page but I don't see why that should be a problem. Moreover that the battery last the 8 hours. Maybe Sam got a lemon!
But my problem is that they are not supplied with adequate instructions. The watch has lots of features and needs more documentation. I am just hoping one the Timex people reads this comment and can send me more instructions about it.

I have a few GPS watches and this is by far the best value. This GPS is perfect for the basic data in a lightweight, easy to read and reliable GPS. You get all of the necessary data avg pace, distance, splits, and the ability to set distance alarms. You can also use it without GPS mode for laps/splits whic is great. I found it at www.givenbrand.com/marathon-gps.html and they ship free and quick. No matter where you get it you wont be dissapointed.

I bought this for marathon training after moving to a new area and it has been great! The battery lasts for at least a week and the distance and time are always accurate. I would highly recommend it.

This watch works great on all of my runs and is actually very accurate. The only downside I have is that it can take a few minutes to get the gps signal. It is pretty comfortable also which is nice because gps watches are usually too bulky for me.

I have had the watch for three weeks and find it excellent for my training program. It gives me everything I need in one device. Prior to this I carried two devices. I have not compared the accuracy against my garmin but the distnces are close to my other non - gps devices.

Proof that "you get what you pay for" still applies in life. Have successfully used Garmin and Nike running watches. However, allowed salesperson to me convince the Timex GPS was a great bargain. Well, not so much. Difficult to use. Difficult to read while running. Battery time is not as advertised. Storage very limited. Connection to signal very slow. Never again.
Oh, one bit of good news. Only paid $105, so it is a relatively inexpensive lesson. Garmin...sorry I doubted you.
