“Disappointed with band”

Review:

It's fascinating to see other have had a similar experience with the band. I had mine for less than 2 years when my band had snapped in half as well. I love the watch, but am very diappointed in the band. I can't fine a replacement in any of the stores around me. I've seen similar bands, but all are way too large. The band is very poor quality. I only take the watch off and put it back on once a day to swim and/or shower. A band should not wear out that quickly.

“Broken Straps”

Review:

I have been reading the reviews complaining of the broken straps on the Ironman Triathlon type Timex watches. I agree with them all since there is a problem of the cracking/breaking of the strap. It first begins with the breakage of the strap loop that holds the strap tip after you buckle the watch to your wrist. Later the main strap breaks. This problem is present with any watch you buy. At some point it will break. My experience is 1-2 years. This particular Timex Ironman Trithalon 30 Lap lasted me 2.5 years and it goes everywhere I go and living in Hawaii it surely includes the ocean. The cost to replace them is very reasonable. $8 a strap. So I ordered 2 of them at once and even with shipping to Hawaii, Timex did not charge me for the shipping. The sales person was very accommodating and pleasant. Call Timex 1-800 448-4639. When you hear the prompts on the recording wait till you come to a prompt that says "stay on the line for a customer service representative. Do Not use the automated ordering service. Be sure to speak with a customer service rep..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, reliable, Rugged, Worn all the time, reasonable strap replacementstrap breakageDependable and now that I can obtain reasonable strap replacement its even better

“Two straps broken in 3 years”

Review:

After a year of normal use the strap broke. It was replaced at what I regard as an excessive cost having regard to the original total cost. After just over a year of further normal use strap 2 broke. I refuse to get this one repaired and the Ironman Triathlon is now in the sock drawer..Battery life, easy to readPerformance, Quality, ValueThe quality is poor.

“Well worth the $$$”

Review:

I picked up this watch in the winter of 2006 prior to my deployment to Iraq. Two reasons for the purchase were 24 hour mode and the indiglo function. It quickly became my daily wearer because of its comfortable strap. In the last five years I have worn it about 80% of the time, and I use the chronograph function almost daily.

I have had no problems with the strap and am only now looking to put a new battery in it..Rugged, Performance, comfortable, Worn all the time, Battery life, easy to read, Value, 24 hour modeIt does what it is supposed to do.

“Band let me down”

Review:

I have had this watch for about 2.5 years now and really enjoyed it. It did everything I needed it to do for a sports watch. But,...about a month ago the band just snapped in two. This was upsetting because it had been a good watch, and I thought it should have lasted a lot longer. It has been difficult trying to find a replacement band for this watch in any of the stores near me also..Battery life, easy to read, reliable, Value, Worn all the timeQuality, Uncomfortable, band is does not last longThe Timex watched themselves have always been great watches for me. I was just let down this time with this watch's band quality. The watch itself still works, so I would recommend the actual brand to a friend, just not this watch.

Review:

I have four collections of watches which I wore, amongst that is my Timex Triathlon. Surprisngly my Timex Triathlon Ironman resin strap just broke in two while wearing which is hardly two years from the time of purchase. Although my another Timex Indiglo is still okay which is 5 years now, I am really surprised with the poor quality of the Ironman ..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, ValueQualityIt is up to you to tell me the reasons why the poor quality !!?

“Great Watch”

Review:

I have owned this watch for over 5 years and it still works great. Before I bought this watch I was buying watches 2-3 times a year for one reason or another mostly because I do everything with my watch on, I never remembered to take them off until I had already ruined them. This watch has stood up to everything I do and still works.

Review:

This is my second skin. For over 15 years this watch has been with me almost everyday AND night. I refuse to take it off. It has everything I could ever want/need so I never have to take it off. I've been so abusive to this poor watch and it just keeps going. Absolutely amazing. I'm sorry to say I think I finally killed it. But, I will buy the same one...again. I love this watch. My other "fancy" ($200.00+) watches are all dead now. I always forget to take them off (pool, shower, etc..) so they drown to death. Not this one. It "takes a lickn' but keeps on tickin'". Amazing work!.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time, waterproofIn the past 15-20 years my life has been VERY crazy. This watch has been my one thing that I could depend on no matter how dark, cold, or high up in the mountains I was. Other things failed like cars, other gadgets, ... relationships, but this little watch was always by my side to "light my path" so I could find my way home. For years I traveled all over the United States, but I never could have done it with out my Timex.
