Love the watch and the color. This is my 4th in a new color. Problem is the watch band loop breaks and that is the end of the whole watch. The rest of the band will break and no replacement band possible since watch face is a part of the band. But it takes about a year to break.
Water-resistance is great for all day/night wear and active lifestyle as well as simple daily chores and personal care..comfortable, easy to read, reliable, stylish, Worn all the timeValue, watch band needs new design, needs a better band loop, pricy for a yearly purchaseBecause the band consistently breaks. I have had 4. Love the watch but the band breaking is very disappointing.

Eventhough my old timex worked I gave it to my kids and I decided to get a new watch for me. This watch is great and comfortable, but the band changed from white to a green-yellow color that is unattractive. I tried to switch it with my old watch but my kids won't even wear the new watch because they think it looks gross. I have only had the watch for 3 months and now I am looking for a new one. I expected more for what I paid..comfortable, Battery life, reliableValue, Quality, AppearanceI would tell a friend not to buy a white watch from timex.

I bought the Timex Sleek 50 lap mid size and loved it for the first few months. It does everything I could ask for plus more. the only draw back to buying a watch with the rubber wrist band fully enclosing the face is it can come apart and become useless..comfortable, easy to read, reliableQuality

I chose this watch because it offered sleek styling as well as the timer and multiple alarm features I needed. However, while the time-keeping functionality of the watch worked great, I was greatly disappointed with the quality of the band and face.
I've gone through two of these watches - neither of them lasting more than two years. Because I use the triple alarm feature daily, I use this as my everyday watch. When the first wore out I replaced it with the same style so I could keep using the functions I'd come to rely on.
I replaced the first one because the plastic cover on the face came off. However, this was after I'd already put up with a tear in the band (between two of the holes for the buckle - I just adjusted to a different size and dealt w/ it), and I regularly noticed condensation/moisture under the faceplate when swimming (even though it's rated water resistant to 100 meters). But I loved the timer and alarm functions so much I gave the same style a try when I had to replace watch #1.
Watch #2 immediately started to show wear - within a few months the coloring on the plastic trim around the face of the watch started wearing off and the band started to exhibit an unsightly greenish/grey discoloration. At about a year, I started to notice condensation under the plastic face again after swimming in cold water, but alas my one year warranty was expired, so I was forced to deal with it. A few months later I also noticed a hairline crack in the faceplate, just below the start/stop button. But again, the WATCH still worked, and at $60 a pop I was not willing to fork over for another just yet.
This morning, right at about the 2 year mark, the small "keeper" on the band broke off, so the buckle would not hold the band closed. While the WATCH still works, this timepiece is rendered useless because the BAND is no longer functioning. And with this watch design, the band is not a replaceable part.
TIMEX watches DO "take a licking and keep on ticking". Mine is still ticking alright (so is watch #1 by the way, I keep it in my kitchen drawer and use it as a cooking timer). However, even if it's still "ticking" away, it doesn't do me much good if I can't wear it!
