I've been wearing Triathlon-type Timex watches as long as they've existed. Of course, as I get older, it's tougher and tougher to read the display without my reading glasses. NO PROBLEM with this watch! The time digits are very large, and the Month-Day-Date are about the size of most digital watches' time digits! Also, it's a rare digital watch that shows the time, month spelled out (MAR, APR, etc.), day of week and date, all of the time without pressing ANY buttons. Love it. In fact, so much so, that this purchase is to "back up" an identical watch just in case anything happens to it! Now *that's* a positive review..Performance, comfortable, Worn all the time, Battery life, easy to read, reliablenone.Great selection of reliable watches at reasonable prices.

Compared to my previous model, which I think was the most recent one before this one, the screen is bigger, and the beeps louder, which are big helps when swimming laps. Entering target time is easier because you can enter your target pace rather than final time. The tap screen is neat and on the lowest force setting takes about the same amount of force as pushing a button. It's more of a gimmick than an improvement. You can't select store work-outs to delete, but the oldest ones are automatically deleted as the memory fills up. You can lock work-outs to keep them from being deleted. This means you have a little less control over stored work-out, but it is not a big deal. The biggest problem with the watch is that the option to automatically start he chronometer after the timer stops is gone. I can't at all figure out why Timex would remove this feature because it's a great option to use for out-and-back runs based on time. I guess you can just manually start the chrono after the timer goes off, but it's annoying especially considering that the old watch was able to do this. Overall, I'm glad I upgraded, but I was very disappointed with the loss the automatic timer to chrono feature..stylish, comfortable, easy to read, reliable, Valuethey removed the automatic timer to chrono featureGood and easy to use products. The Ironman series is obviously designed with triathletes and runners in mind.

Great watch packed with features! Love the TapScreen technology. It allows you to keep pace without searching for a button on the watch. There is an audible target time pacer which again allows you to focus on your workout and not the watch. Large display that can easily be read even without glasses. This watch enables you to really focus on the workout, and not the technology supporting the workout. Great purchase, I highly recommend!.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the timeYou deliver what you promise.

I agree with other reviewers that this model works well, even better than previous models. Unfortunately, I found out that one the single piece, integrated strapband breaks, you are out of a watch for good.
Mine broke right after the 1 yr warranty expired, and now I have a useful watch that I can't wear on my wrist nor will I be able to repair.
I wonder if the same will happen to the GPS
If TIMEX has any kind of repair for this I will gladly take it.
