    Most durable watch

  • The watch happens to be very comfortable and durable. Looks like it can withstand anything. So whats the first thing I do, I go swimming in it, and it works great after it. As someone who does alot of water activities, I needed a watch that can withstand pretty well.

Also the strap is nice and holds up well..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, Value, Worn all the timeSize & weightBest performance watch ever.

    Truly Great Value!

  • I am glad to see the this style coming back. I've worn the Timex Ironman for years and have had several versions, but this one is by far the best - reminds me of the older style. Very easy to read and use...the band is far superior to what has been used in the recent past. Please keep making this one available, Timex!.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the timeTimex always makes a great product!

Ironman T5J261 worked great, but strap pin retainer part of watc

  • I really liked my Ironman T5J261. I almost never took it off and the battery remained at FULL charge! Other than wearing it, I didn't have to do anything special for it to charge. During the cold New Jersey months, I wear a long-sleeve sweatshirt or coat. It gets enough indoor artificial light to maintain full charge. The only reason I'm not wearing it now is because part of the strap retaining case broke off. I'm sending it back under my 5-year extended warranty repair. Timex sent me a prepaid mailer and I only needed to pay $ 8 for handling. Purchase the extended warranty! ($ 5.00) I wish the case strap retainer had been made of metal. Otherwise, I really like the solar watch.

    Condensation under crystal

  • I have owned 4 Ironman watches and this, the 5th, has condensation under the crystal less than a year after purchase. I am disappointed. I have worn them everyday. I thought the motto was they take a licking and keep on ticking. Don't know if I'll buy another.

Great product but indiglo didn't work.

  • Purchased this watch at a retail store and when I got home the Indiglo light didn't work. Needless to say I was disapointed. Everything else works fine, but I need the Indiglo because i work night shift. This is the only time I've had a problem with any Timex. I would still have my other Ironman, but I left it on the roof of my car and...well, I'm sure you can guess the rest of the story. It's probably still ticking somewhere down a road.
By the way, I purchased a Timex Expedition at the same time as the defected Ironman and it works perfect. Later on I may just get another Ironman and make sure all the features work on it before I buy it. Ironmans are hard to beat..Battery life, comfortable, Ruggedindiglo doesn't workIn one word: Durability

    Not waterproof!!!

  • This watch was probably my 4 or 5th Ironman. I bought it to replace my beat up old Ironman. I have had it about 8 months and noticed what others have said, moisture under the crystal. Sad, since I figured they were pretty resilient. We only have a 4 ft pool. I don't know if I will buy another. They aren't that cheap. I want to believe they'll take a licking and keep on ticking, but I am starting to doubt that.

Just what I was looking for

  • Solid, well made watch. Easy to use.
I'm a Lacrosse referee so the chronograph and timer features are perfect for my needs.
I also like knowing it's shock resistant and water resistant to 200 meters. Both great features for someone who loves the surf..comfortable, Performance, Rugged, Value

    Classic IRONMAN with Updates!

  • I am thrilled to see the return of the Classic IRONMAN watch and in so many different colors! I recently purchased on in a Shiny Black finish...I have never seen this color before on an Ironman watch...but it's a winner!! Had lots of compliments on this watch already. I have seen a shiny purple and shiny light blue color also.

Have also seen a regular Black (non shiny) version and I bought a gun metal grey with orange accent one....Orange is my fave color! Hoping Timex will make an all orange (with black accents) version of this watch, like the recent 50 Lap watch that was all orange.

This is a great watch. Very rugged, easy to use, has all the standard features that you need as a runner..that's for sure! I wish the beep sound was a little louder when you activate Chronograph and hit the "Split" button during a run. It's a little softer than usual.

The enhanced "Shock" look of this watch, like the popular G Shock watches (some that sell for far more money) is a plus. These sports watches do get bumped around it seems.

It seems Timex has hit its stride on this watch, The VIVID, and like Ray Ban with its famous Wayfarers, is making this watch in a variety of colors. My wife has pink and white (and shiny black) but I agree with the review that says the white gets dirty too easily!!

Timex should make more of these watches in the shiny finish (namely orange I vote for) as I sense that version will not absorb dirt the same way as the white and pink ones do.

All in all, great watch that I am really enjoying using! Reminds me of my very first Ironman (black with orange accents) from the early '90s. I have been wearing these watches for nearly 20 years now and would never switch! It's part of my day to day life in so many ways. Just using the Countdown Timer set at an hour helps me avoid parking tickets!.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time, shiny finish spiffs up this watch's image!TImex has outstanding quality control and is constantly refining its many products. It's Repair Service is outstanding and often times a new watch is sent when you send yours in for a repair!

    Another Great One....

  • I currently have 7 Timex Ironman watches, really like this one, the T5K195, has that original Ironman strength about it, with the bonus of shock protection, I Still have my 1986 original Ironman, the 484-A that was given to me as a gift at Christmas from my father in 1986, and arrived today I have a leftover still brand new 484-A that I tracked down and bought from an individual, mine had been sitting for over 15 years with a dead battery lost in the bottom of my watch box, until about 2 weeks ago, I put in a fresh CR2016 battery and runs just as good as when it was new,(still a great battery choice for years of use) still perfectly water tight. I have many Seiko watches and even a multi thousand dollar Brietling watch and by far my timex Ironman watches will be with me to the end, the others I sale off and rotate, but my Ironmans will stay with me, since day one, all of them. Timex makes the Greatest watches on earth, you can't go wrong when you purchase a Timex watch..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time, timeless lookVery well built, really good looks with a bold futuristic design, my Timex watches have never let me down.

    Poor quality

  • I purchased this watch 6 months ago. Over that time of regular use with intermittent work and play, the plastic watch screws broke off. Eventually leading too the black rubber and start/split button to be torn off while tubbing on a lake. Which, allowed water to leak in, and destroy the watch over a period of two days. Worked fine while i had it, hence the two stars, but how quickly it was ruined deserves a one star. Not impressed.

Great Watch - Nostalgia is a heck of a thing

  • I give this watch the best of scores. I owned its predecessor when I was 16, and it lasted me pretty much 10 years. I bought this watch last year for Christmas, and while I can't comment on the longevity of the watch, I can say that it's an improvement to the original in every way. The corner plastic bolts have fallen out, but that is a minor detail that I really don't care about too much - because on all other accounts, this is a fantastic watch. The band is extra comfortable, the watch looks great on the wrist (not too large, but not small at all), and the functions are intuitive, easy to use, and very advanced and elegant. love this watch! Timex, please make this your flagship watch!

    Awesome Product.

  • I bought this watch over a year ago looking for the most durable one for the price and I think I found it. I have taken it through mud runs, Spartan Races, military training camps, hunting, camping, running, swimming and more and it is still ticking and accurate.

My only problem was that the screws you see on the four corners of the watch slowly come out one by one. Once they all fall out the black lenses casing falls out. The watch still works, but now it looks ugly : (

Overall it is a fantastic product and I will be the first to recommend!
