I have had this watch for several years and it has been under some severe conditions. It has pieces of the body missing or worn off.It took a blow that threw it off my wrist to about 8' away only denting the steel cover. It has been exposed to various chemicals(Hydrochloric acid, Titanium tetra chloride, and other chemicals. It is still running after all that abuse. There is more I could say but, I think that should be enough to see why I gave it a 5 star rating!!!!!.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time, i can't kill it!!!!Affordable and rugged( shock proof Iron man Triathlon)

I like the style of this watch and I like the fact that it is a big watch, some of the other men's Ironman watches look too small on a man's wrist.
I don't like the fact that the "start/split" button no longer works and that the resin strap split in two and I can't, for the life of me, find a replacement strap online.
If I had the option to purchase this watch with a nylon/velcro band, I would.
I would recommend this watch to a friend based on it's looks but would caution them on the strap and the functionality of the buttons..easy to read, Rugged, stylish, Worn all the timeQuality, watch strap

I've had this watch three years. It looks fantastic and has cool functionality. I've replaced the band 5 times. Three times due to the retainer strap breaking; twice because the band broke at the peg that holds it to the watch. The indiglo feature quit working several months ago. The buttons have begun to quit working. The 2nd time function has quit working..comfortable, easy to read, stylishQuality, indiglo quits, strap qualityGenerally, Timex gives very good value. I use a Citizen as my "dress" watch but for casual wear, I wouldn't consider anything else.

I to have used Ironman for many years, as a professional lifeguard and EMS it is important the watch is both water proof & durable. My wife purchased this watch for me for fathers day this year because of the reputation of the Timex name - things have changed! the function buttons fell off almost immediately, making it impossible to use the multiple functions the glass fogs up even in humid areas (guess how often that happens) I think the only problem I havent had yet is the band breakage, but, I haven't been able to wear it long enough for that to happen..comfortable, easy to readdesign for water resistanceStill believe in the Timex name, but quality need to get back to where it once was.

I have had this watch version for several years, and have never had a problem with it. The band has held up well as well as the buttons and display. I think even the same battery since 2007. My 11 year old son really wanted the watch too. I was glad to be able to find it, granted in different colors. I wish that the whole series of the watches, especially in the army green were to come back. I travel a good deal for work and the multiple time zones is a great feature. What really sold me on the watch was the FLIX (and my son too) and the ability to customize the menus..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, ValueI love the watch and wish the whole series were available

To top it off Timex did not even respond to my requests to get the watch fixed. I have been using Timex watches for 19 years but not again....Lack of reliability, lack of customer service.

I like my watch because it stands true to Timex's Age Old Slogan: "Takes a lickin' & keeps on tickin'". It's meant for wearing during a whole host of activities whether you work in the office, shop floor, construction site, out in the woods or in the water. I don't have to worry about my Ironman letting me down. It looks great in my work clothes or in a nice suit. If it needs a battery, let the pro's at Timex change it. Otherwise it will leak after the local jeweler changes the battery.

This is truly an awesome watch all the way around. The functionality that I like and use most is the Occasion Reminder feature. I’m very accustomed to having multifunction alarms helping me out with remembering different activities, but you’re usually limited to five (5) alarms at best. This Timex watch essentially allows you to set an alarm for every day of the year for different occasions. You can customize each type, i.e. birthdays, anniversaries, etc., for a specific time, and even from 0 to nine days prior to the event occurring. That’s like having 365 alarms, plus three (3) regular daily, weekly, or weekend alarms; I’d be lost without this feature. One other noteworthy thing to mention about this feature is the fact that you’re wearing the upcoming year’s full calendar on your wrist, which is especially helpful if you need to know what day of the week a particular date falls on. I’m also an avid golfer, so I look forward to putting that feature to good use. I wear this watch 24/7, including in the shower. The only time I take it off is to dry it after my shower. Having owned a number of G-Shocks over the years as well, I can say this watch feels more solid and rugged material and design wise. I’m very pleased with this watch and highly recommend it to anyone who can use a reminder now and again for their activities!.comfortable, easy to read, Rugged, Value, Worn all the time, intelligent designGreat functionality at a great price!

I've been using Timex Ironman Line of watches for the last 10 years. They have been through a lot but held up well - rock climbing, biking, diving (30ft) and 2&4 year-old "testing".
The only problem with this model is the poor quality plastic strap. After 1 year using this Ironman model, the loop is gone and the strap has already cracked.
Finding a replacement strap is a challenge by itself.
TIMEX - we need better straps for all Ironman lines. It is long overdue! And we need spare straps to be available..Performance, reliable, Rugged, Worn all the time, second to none customer supportstrapExcept for the straps, very reliable watch.

I've used Ironman watches for the past 10 years & been quite happy--I've swam 100's of miles, 1000's of showers, etc and no problems. By the time the battery runs out (3-4 years) I treat myself to a new one. My wife bought this as a gift about a year and a half ago. It was a bit larger and bulkier than I had used but I went with it. A few days ago it fogged up. Went snorkeling two days later and found the LCD was trashed. Wish my wife had read the reviews--looks like there is a serious water ingress issue with this model.not waterproof, bulky & heavyUsually---but this model is not up to Timex standards!! Appears I'm not alone with this model. Please address.

I've been using Timex Ironman Line of watches for the last 15 years. All of my Ironmans have pretty much been through it all, running, snowboarding, rock climbing, Mt. Biking, paddling and even sky diving. My only problem was the plastic straps always break after 1 year or less. I've lost 2 Ironmans in the bay. My other Ironmans strap replacement was easier to find and replace. I'm currently using this Ironman model and the loop for the strap has already cracked and broken off. The little accent cover on the strap was already fallen off. Since this model has a unique strap it makes it impossible to replace and nobody seems to carry the replacement straps at all..durable, affordable, reliable, watertight, long battery life, featurescheap strap, no strap replacementThey are very reliable and durable watch for the price. It is the only watch that I have found that has the features that I want: lap memory, chrono, time lapse and time zones for traveling. I have owned 6 Timex Ironmans in the last 15 years and they all have work beautifully except for the nylon straps. My first Ironman finally got retired because I could no longer see the time on it from usage. My second one and third Ironman got lost in a bay due to strap failure. My 4th Ironman (Flix) was too annoying with the big button sticking out for running. My 5th one is a Stainless Ironman, but too heavy for activities. And my 6th Ironman with a broken loop.

Got this watch as a birthday present from my father in February. We've been wearing Ironman for years without too many issues. Both of us coach college football and constantly are banging these bad boys around and they keep on going. That was until THIS watch. I loved the way it looked as well as the FLIX feature, and seeing as how I so rarely swim, I figured this would last me quite a while. I was wrong. This watch bit the dust while I was working the University of Florida's football camp, I think the humidity got to it. Around practice two I looked down and the screen was completely fogged over, condensation at it's finest. Once I got back to New York, I had hoped the climate change would at least make this watch still functional... Ha. The screen under the glass had bubbled and half of the LCD pixals had died. It's now like watching binary code through a beer bottle. Horrible. If you live in a dry area, go for it, but be forewarned. Must be some seal issues with this watch..easy to read, stylishPerformance, Quality, Value, takes on waterI would still recommend some, seeing as how I have had good watches in the past, but in this "what have you done for me lately" world, my most recent experience would cause me to recommend with major hesitation. Just very disappointed in this watch.

My indiglo quit working after a year and a half and now my watch band is broken. The watch is useless now because I often work nights and the band is not easily replaceable if it is replaceable at all..comfortable, easy to read, stylish, Worn all the timePerformance, Quality, ValueI would not recommend Timex to a friend because I don't feel it is reasonable for my indiglo and band to quit working after a year and a half. I don't feel this is reasonable for a watch of this price.

This watch was fabulous for almost 2 years then the Indiglo stopped working. I was using this watch for everything teaching PE, swimming, running, waking me up in the morning etc. Now if it is night, a late session forget it.

The problem with this one is getting a replacement band for it is too difficult to do. Trying to find a replacement band on line is also hard. Yet, it has been a great time piece and tool for many adventures for me..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the timewatchband replacementI have been a great fan and user for years. I still pay watches from two of the leading competitors, but; in an overall comparison by myself, I find that in considering price, function, features, durability, and styling- you can't beat the product.

The orange start/lap button has completely faded with all letters completely gone and the button starting to become transparent.

I wisely purchased the extended warranty, which means mine will be replaced--but I hope it's either a brand new one or an upgraded version that addresses this issue..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Worn all the timeindiglo diesIndiglo fails and others have reported it as well. I did not mind the bulkiness and weight because I liked the features (except the out-of-place “golf” thing and the lack of single time alarm) and the apparent strength, but I think it is intolerable that after 25 swimming sessions the water leaked in. No more Timex for me, I will try other brands..easy to read, many functionsQuality, Size & weight, UncomfortableNo, because the sell a bad quality product and keep selling it.
