    Another broken wrist band

  • It is incredible this expensive HRM only last some months because of the easy to break wrist band.
Isn´t it supposed to be designed for elite athletes ?
Features are great but can not say the same as the wrist band that seems no being part replaceable..stylish, comfortable, easy to readValue, Quality, wrist bandI paid +150 USD for a high performance HRM , but wrist band only lasted some intense months

  • The Ironman Race Trainer is reliable and easy to use. The downloading is quick and dependable. This watch coupled with Training Peaks makes an excellent training tool.

Great assistance for my 1st marathon

  • This watch provides it all. setting alarms for hydration and monitoring my heart rate is important and this watch has those functions down pat._x000D__x000D__x000D__x000D_It takes some time to get used to because everything is customizable but once I get the settings I wanted to track this watch became a tremendous help

Timex Ironman Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor

  • Love this thing. Super easy to track HRM and workout data and has a terrific interface with http://www.trainingpeaks.com for the 'quantified self' folks (like me).

    Broken Wrist band

  • Wrist band cracked and snapped after a couple months of use. Trying to get it repaired is even harder. Definitely not worth $150

    Love THIS HRM

  • Perfect size for woman. Excellent features for runners and cross-training. Excellent customer service if something goes wrong (and it has but Timex is on it.) My issues were battery related. Impossible to change watch battery yourself. I will keep this watch or a replacement as long as I can get it.

WRIST BAND DISINTEGRATING/BREAKING 2. WACKY HR READING

  • Terrible!! Timex Race Trainer (and probably all of their models) has serious problems. I paid $150 for quality, but instead I got a piece of crap!

I rarely used it, never in water (although it is water resistant, I HOPE), and when I started to use it for my exercise program, this so called Heart monitor started to give me wacky HR reading and wrong calorie burnt count. I did everything that i had to do to according to the booklet and nothing worked. I either shows my maximum HR or resting HR and almost nothing between.

I was dealing with these watch problems till I found out the wrist band is also broken (after just some months of mild use). When I touched the wrist band, to my surprise, I saw it is disintegrating to pieces like powder "LITERALLY."

My other HR monitor watch is "Mio" and I paid under $40 for it is working well and I have had it for years.

I think Timex should do some serious work to increase their quality, or lower their prices for such crappy products.

I don't recommend Timex watches to anyone and I will actually warn everyone to stay away from them. What a complete waste of $150 of my hard-earned money.

P.S. I had to give this review a star just because it didn't let me post my review which otherwise I wouldn't.
