“falling apart”

Review:
I loved this watch when I got it a year ago, since it looked good as well as being practical. I don't have a problem with the functions - it all works fine.
However, about three months after getting it, the plastic silver front plate (which shows the functions like set/recall, mode etc) fell off. It had just been glued on, and the glue chipped off. The other day, the rubber hoop holding down the band came off in my hands. The plastic band has also turned a white/grey color, which is not too attractive. It doesn't look like I can replace the band, so now I'm left with a functioning watch that looks ugly, and with a band that sticks out and comes undone. I hate throwing things out - watches are not supposed to be disposable - but now I'm stuck with this.
