    falling apart

  • I loved this watch when I got it a year ago, since it looked good as well as being practical. I don't have a problem with the functions - it all works fine. However, about three months after getting it, the plastic silver front plate (which shows the functions like set/recall, mode etc) fell off. It had just been glued on, and the glue chipped off. The other day, the rubber hoop holding down the band came off in my hands. The plastic band has also turned a white/grey color, which is not too attractive. It doesn't look like I can replace the band, so now I'm left with a functioning watch that looks ugly, and with a band that sticks out and comes undone. I hate throwing things out - watches are not supposed to be disposable - but now I'm stuck with this.

    absolutely not satisfying

  • Bought the watch in late summer 2012 and about 2 months after getting it, the plastic band has turned a white/grey/yellow color. Fortunately I was able to replace it by a genuine Timex part. This shows now the same behavior = not satisfying.
Now the plastic silver front plate (which shows the functions like set/recall, mode etc) fell off. The glue chipped off. Looks not favorable!
It’s a new functioning watch that looks ugly like used for years. I don’t understand that this quality has been approved.
