    It's a Timex

  • Great look, feel, and consistent dependability I have had on my wrist for 35 years. I had a Snoopy Timex when I was five. As is typical of a five year old, I lost the watch while playing. The watch was found more than a year later in a neighbors yard; still running. Not bad for a kid's watch, and even better considering the weather in the Northeaster United States. As a runner, I once had a watch for running, and another for everything else. My everything else watch was a Yachtmaster, but the importance of substance over image has put the Rolex in a lock box, and the Ironman lives on my wrist. I have heard that you can tell a lot about a man by his shoes and his watch. Well, my shoes are typically Italian, and my watch a Timex.

I gave it a ten, but most of the people I am willing to befriend already wear a Timex.

    Can't Go Wrong

  • As a missionary in the Philippines I need a watch that is as rugged as the remote places I visit. The Ironman has been the watch for me for many years. When my watch begins to show age, I pass it on to someone who has no watch and then shop for a new Ironman. There are piles of watches to choose from, but for me, the easy to read face, classic style, reasonable price and durability of the Ironman makes it my watch of choice. Like I learned as a child, "Timex watches take a licking, and keep on ticking"!

    Great Watch--Weak Band

  • I am on my second of Ironman/Triathalon watch and I wear it a part of every day. I can't think of anything I need that it doesn't do. That said, the watch band is a big disappointment. The band just broke after less than a year's wear; and the worst part is how difficult I've found it to replace the band with a new Timex band. None of the four retail stores I've gone to who sell Timex watches carry the band and the web sites I've gone to can't identify the model number (T5K416). I can't even find a band to order from the Timex site. And the specs of the watch on the Timex site does not include the width size needed to order a new one. Biggest insult of all, there is no CONTACT phone number or e-mail address on the Timex site.

    Great Watch

  • This is a full featured digital watch with a slightly larger face than most watches which makes it easier to read and operate when I'm active or at night. Setting the features is also very straight forward and less involved than some other watches I have used. It is easy to set and read while I'm involved in an activity and on the run.

.Rugged, Performance, Worn all the time, easy to read

See review above. It's easy to use and read while active.

    Ironman 30

  • Watch works good however the watchband has begun to crack and will soon be non-functional. I've had it about 1 1/2 yrs and can't seem to find a watch where the band doesn't falls apart around this timeframe. Otherwise the watch does what it's supposed to do and is not too hard to figure out.

    Great Watch...

  • This watch delivers exactly what it promises and at an outstanding price. Timex has been doing the "Ironman" series for a while now and they really have nailed it with these watches.
