This is the fifth Ironman I have owned. The first one, now going on 20 years till runs...kinda rough, but keeps on ...ticking! Saw this one and like its sleek and more conservative look. Loving it as much as the other four ...so far!

Review:
I have recently become active, so I'm looking for a decent but simple sports watch that doesn't look too loud in the office but performs well on the field and in the swimming pool. My previous watch was a Timex from their Expedition series with a digital compass, the custom band that I put on it just wasn't comfortable enough for serious workout.
Whoever designed this inexpensive watch deserves praise, as no detail is overlooked. The picture doesn't show it, but they took the time to put at least two different textures on the material. The watch body is made of glossy plastic while the shallow bezel is matte. The band is matte, but the two lines on it is glossy. To add a little bit more of aesthetic touch, the face graduated from solid black on top to the gray that approximates the color of the start/split button on the bottom. The metal buckle is silver matte textured and curved to better conform with the natural curvature of the band. As common with other Timex synthetic bands, the loop has a protrusion that matches a hole at the end of the band, keeping it from protruding out and catching on clothing.
Most importantly, it's comfortable. Most of the time I use the third hole closest to the face. When I lift weights I loosen it to the fourth, and when I swim I tighten it to the second.
The fact that it's water resistant to 100m is very nice, because I can be sure that pretty much nothing I do in the pool will affect this watch, including the occasional cannonball.
My minor complaint is that the buttons are slightly more sensitive than my other Timex watches. It's not a show stopper though, and some people would probably find it as a plus because the other models can be a little hard to engage sometimes.
