I just am having One major problem when I changed the battery I put the battery in with no problem now when I trying to put the back on my watch It will not go on for some reason, I have been trying for about 4 hours now and I have been looking for help on the Timex web site. This watch is easy to read even without my glasses! The watch and band have both gold and silver so it goes with just about everything. It also works with dressy and casual. The Timex Indigolo WR 50Mwas brought for me as a present by my late husband 10 years ago, It goes with anything you wear and looks very stylish. I have never had a problem with this watch yet and in the 10 years i've had it the battery has only been changed once. It has been knocked about a lot as worn everyday and it still works perfectly and hasn't even got a scratch on it. Very easy to read, comfortable enough you forget you have it on. And for the make and style of the Timex the prices are very affordable..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, stylish, Value, Worn all the timeaffordable, light and stylish

My husband bought me this watch for Christmas after my last watch died, replaced the battery, and it quit holding time after a week. This is a beautiful watch and - I think - would be very easy to read. However, the band is too big and it is impossible to remove links to make it smaller. Therefore it has been over two weeks and I cannot wear this watch. I would not recommend it as a gift unless the person to receive it is there to try it on, because if it doesn't fit then there isn't going to be any changing the size of the band!unable to alter the band sizenot at this time, because I am pretty darn mad that I cannot wear this beautiful watch!

I am looking at this watch as a possible purchase, I see this watch & others who state the battery life is a con & the indigo went out in less than a year. I have another watch (more dressy) that I sent to Timex with the indo problem - they replaced it with a brand new watch. Don't hesitate to send it to Timex - they take really good care of their customers.Timex is the only product that makes the indigo - the customer service is outstanding - they stand behind their products & warranties.

I received this model as a gift 4 years ago & loved it - readable face, date, Indiglo - everything I wanted. So I was really disappointed when after three years the Indiglo function just stopped working, it had a faint glow near the #6, and that was it. So I scoured the stores til I found another this past May (2009).
Last night (11/15/09) I hit the Indiglo function, it glowed & then instantly went dark, except for a little tiny glow near the #6! The watch is only 6 months old!!
The watch is still perfectly ok - just not in the dark..Battery life, easy to read, Performance, Worn all the timePerformance, indiglo failurebecause the Timex watch I've had for 30+ years works like a champ!

I am on my 4th watch of this style. With the exception of my 3rd one, all have lasted 2-3 years or more. I am debating returning the 3rd one since I purchased it 11/7/08 and it failed 4/14/09.
I seldom take this watch off. I wear it sleeping, in the shower, doing yard work, swimming, etc. It only comes off when I switch to a dressy watch for special occasions.
The reviewer who said you can't remove links is incorrect. I have a very small wrist and I have 6 links removed each time. The sales clerk at WalMart adjusts it each time I purchase one..comfortable, easy to read, reliable, Rugged, Worn all the timeGood, reliable, classic company

I have worn this watch day-in/day -out for over 10 years. I have very poor vision, so the indiglo feature is a must! I can't see my own alarm clock with out my glasses. I don't need to worry about that with this watch, if I wake up in the middle of the night.
The date feature on this watch stopped working over a year ago. Finally, the indiglo went out and I replaced the battery. For whatever reason, this time it only lasted 3 months and the indiglo is out again.
For the reviewer that says you can't adjust the band - you are wrong. Each time I have had 5-6 links removed to fit my slim wrists.
