    Excellent Watch

  • Excellent Watch it has to be one of the best LCD Watches Timex has ever made. I was in Target & Wal-Mart I saw this watch in silver & I ask a salesperson if they could get this watch in gold, they said no. I came to Timex web page to see if they had it in Gold. I found it in silver right away. I was about to quite when I found it. I don’t know why Timex do not have them together. This way it give us a choice to pick from Silver or Gold. As far as I am concern, Timex has a winner. Thank you, Timex AJAX100

    worse one I bought

  • I don't know just what the problem is with this watch, It has never worked for more than two weeks, the week I bought it and the week I got it back from Timex. It has been in my wife's ring box now for over 2 or so years. It cost me to buy it and then it cost me again when I sent it off for repairs, I would tell any one to buy this one

.is not reliable, a very poor value, is none working performance, comfortable because you never ware it, couldn't ware all the time

it needs a lot of work to have performance

I have used Timex all my life and never got a bad watch till I bought this one. I have own over 30 since I was 15, I am now 62, over 47 years. I work with my hands all my life.

    Owned for years & years

  • I have owned this classic for more than 20 years.. Wore it every day. Except for biannual batteries; never a failure. Finally, corrosion inactivated some features. Time to replace with a new one.. I only use Timex.. They really do "keep on ticking".

.Performance, reliable, Rugged, Value, Worn all the time

    Great watch

  • This is the best compromise between looks and functionality that I have been able to find in a watch. I've had one for years, and I'm glad to see that Timex is selling it again. The band and casing aren't super classy, but they are better looking than plastic, and they wear fairly well. The features are easy to use. I wish watch makers would make classier digital watches instead of analog.

    .looks, easy of use

it's esy to accidentally set the hourly chime., the stop-watch buttons are stiff

I've had good success with your watches.

    Decent Timepiece

  • Day of the week display so small it's unreadable. Hourly chime is so weak, it's about useless. Otherwise, I like the watch.

    .Battery life, reliable, Value

    see review

The watch was given to me as a gift. I, personally would have not bought it for the 2 reasons given in the review.

I now always buy this one.

  • 25 years ago, I had an expensive Seiko. The crystal got broken. $56 to replace. The band broke when only a few months old. I didn't like the klutzy band anyway, so, I bought a Speidel band. Then, the seal on the battery compartment leaked the sweat from my wrist, which got inside the watch. For awhile, every night, I had to take the battery out and let the watch dry out. Finally, the sweat shorted out everything. So much for expensive watches! Instead of finding out how much that would cost to repair, I bought a Timex either exactly like or very similar to the one I have now, for less than half the cost of the Seiko crystal. It worked great for years. When it quit, I bought another. O.K., the Seiko was a few seconds per year more accurate, but, so what? You have to reset your watch twice a year anyway. The Timex watch I bought several years ago still works fine but the band broke. I could buy a Speidel for it, but, I think I will just buy another Timex exactly like the one I have. Day of the week, date, month, time, Indiglo for reading it in the dark, alarm, etc. What else could I want? Why pay many times as much for a watch that can't take it? So, right now, my wrist watch is a pocket watch, but, I'm on my way to Wal-Mart to buy another Timex just like this one.

    35 Year Watch

  • I have been using this Indiglo watch ,as my every day watch, for 35 Years. I have purchased about 6 of these watches in my 35 years of continuous use. I believe that I will buy this Indiglo watch for another 35 years, if I last that long, and Timex continues to offer this watch. Jim Donehoo

    Great watch

  • Great watch, so 80's it's awesome. Basic features but a bit big (I'm a woman though and it's a men's watch so it's understandable). It squeaks a bit too but again, I think that's because it swings on my wrist. Happy with the purchase.

.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, stylish, Value, Worn all the time

Timex watches last forever and they have come out with some really great styles - get one.

    best ever

  • my husband would not wear any other but this one style watch

  • taddytaddy2000

    I love this watch.

  • This is the best watch ever, I only wish it came in a smaller womens version. I have the gold and black with a metal stretchy band, which hangs low on my hand like a bracelet. The face is super easy to read, it shows the date AND the day of the week which I love, especially when I'm traveling. The indiglo is great, and the alarm is great, I used it as my alarm clock when I'm away from home. I've worn it everyday for months and it's not scratched, it still looks great.

.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, stylish, Value, Worn all the time, many features

Great product, great value. There could be better choices for design/fashion.

    Best Watch For Your Buck.

  • I have had three watches of this model. They seem to last forever. In my profession as a PTA, I need a watch that can stand up to my vigorous work activities, this is the watch that works the best for me.

    Great watch but no manual

  • My daughter got the W-116 for Xmas and is very happy with it except for the chime every full hour. The manual offers no clue as how to turn off the hourly chime and on-line extended manuals are not available. Can anybody help?

.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged

    Very reliable at affordable price.

    Can't ask for anything better

  • This is one great watch. I've just purchased my 5th one! Before anyone gets carried away... I've had so many due to damage caused by my stupidity by NOT removing the watch ahead of time when beginning work. All of this model Timex that I've owned has operated flawlessly and has (tried) to hold-up cosmetically to all of the abuse I have given them. It was only when I couldn't see the numbers anymore or, in one case, that was physically broken, that it was necessary to replace one. All of the damage has been to badly scratched faces, one destroyed band, and one severely dented case over the SET button which would not allow me to reset the time any more. For whatever reason, it appears that I am just too lazy to remove the watch prior to work. I have been a professional automotive/truck/engine/drivetrain technician all of my life. I've also been a jack-of-all-trades during that time as well. I am now disabled, permanently I'm sorry to say. I am not sure how long Timex has had these watches in production, but I think I've had one since the early to mid eighties. I could not be anymore pleased with anything mechanical... and I ought to know what I am talking about. It keeps incredible time. I always set mine to the atomic time server in Fort Collins, Colorado right down to the second. None of these watches has ever drifted out of time (except the physically damaged one). How much more can you ask out of an inexpensive watch? Although... in my case... I sure wish that Timex would build in an anti-stupidity sensor! Thanks Timex!

    Great Watch

  • I have had this watch for approx 8 yrs or so, and I just now had to replace the battery. You would think that it being an indiglo watch it would use up the battery a bit quicker. It is a very accurate time piece and the alarm is easy to hear even with my limited hearing. I can't sing it's praise enough.

    Timex Digital

  • I bought this watch for my husband 24 years ago, we have had to replace the battery a few times over the years. But he is still wearing it, and now I am buying him a new one. My husband is now retired military after 24 years and that watch has been to alot of places, he wears it everyday! I wanted to say thank you for making something that really does last and even tho it isn't worth much it still has alot of emotional value to it. It was one of the first items I bought him when we got married. So thank you!!! This watch is a great one...
