    Not the durability I expect

  • I've been wearing timex's most of my days for twenty years and this is the first watch that didn't last until i smashed it, which usually takes several years of intense abuse. The battery went dead much faster than most of my other watches, and replacing it required removing a delicate metal latch which was tricky, but I did it. When I installed the new battery, however, the chime/beep tone became significantly weaker. This watch is unusable now for me, as I need to hear the tone. I don't understand why battery replacement need to be so involved and that the sound went nearly dead after battery replacement is very sad.

    First Watch i pick everytime(x)

  • I've had numerous watches. what is amazing is that i have been chasing the feeling i had with my first timex. Other watch don't measure up. The Timex Expedition has the features and design for ease of us. Setting the time and date was intuitive. The display clear and large. Buttons on other watches have to be pressed hard and from different angles, but the mode buttons on the Expedition were easy to depress much like the click of a mouse, very responsive. I was impressed with the "Indiglo" lighting from previous years, but the illumination of just the numbers shows the ingenuity and simplicity and cleanness of this watch. Vibration mode keeps pace with modern technologies for the quietness of a meeting or the seriousness of a board meeting. the wearer of this can go from board room to great out doors.

    Great Watch

  • I was looking for a good watch to go backpacking with, and after trying out many others, this is the best by far. The vibrating alarm is strong enough to wake me up, and you can use it throughout the day or while in a meeting because it is silent. Durable, reliable, lots of cool features, and it looks good. Great watch.

    where's the compass?

  • Saw this at the store and thought it had a compass on it so i bought it. why the compass face with no compass inside? nothing in the directions that came with the watch mention the compass either. i don't get it.

Poor Quality: Cant even stand up to normal wear.

  • I bought this watch due to its multi time zone, and vibration alarm features. Ive had timex watches in the past and they were durable.

This one however was very poorly made. Ive owned the watch and for about 7 months, and have never taken it into any strenuous activities -but it has gone into the swimming pool on my wrist as I played with my kids. The inside of the display fogged up with condensation and is impossible to read.

Now im dealing with the crappy warranty service of Timex. Just avoid the hassle and spend your money elsewhere.

Best Watch I Have had in a Long Time

  • In my line of work I need a watch that can take what work throws at it. About a year ago I bought a Timex Ironman and it lasted one week before it just fell apart. So I tried a Casio. What a joke that was it did not survive the first shift. So I saw the Timex Expedition and decided that it was a well built watch. So I bought this watch. So far I have had this watch for six months. The vibration alarm function is great. I have found that it keeps great time in a months time it will lose only about 8 seconds. I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for watch that "takes a licken and keeps on tickin".

    Horrible

  • After wearing the watch for only a few days, it broke. Wearing it around the house and performing normal tasks, the face of the watch scratched and the Indiglo button no longer worked. With a title like "Expedition," I expected a little more.
