Expedition® Trail Mate

3.5
On the outside, this is an attractive, comfortable and rugged watch that can be worn daily on the trails or in the office. But a built-in accelerometer turns this into an essential tool for any walker or hiker -- providing real-time distance and speed in addition to alerts that help track your progress. All with an intuitive user-interface that Timex is known for.

    Great Watch

  • I bought this watch because my last watch was very basic and once i got this one, i put it on and never took it off. Its not too big or heavy and its easy to read and its great for people who run a lot. The only problem i have had is that it gains a couple seconds every couple weeks. I've had it for a couple months now and that's the only thing i have found wrong with it. Overall, it was a great purchase.

.Rugged, stylish, Performance, comfortable, Worn all the time, easy to read, reliable, Value

Timex are the only watches that i have ever bought or worn.

    Calibration Failed

  • The watch looks great and the basic functions are fine, but the Accelerometer, which claims to be +95% accurate is far from it for running. When I tried to calibrate the watch it failed over and over again. Then I decided to Manually calibrate the watch so I counted my own steps over the course of 1320 ft or 400M and did my own math which resulted in a stride length of 5'8". Sadly this watch only accommodates a max stride length of 4'11" which is grossly insufficient in meeting its claims to accuracy. If you want a basic watch that looks good, go for it, but the "advanced" features are lacking.
