    Great watch, stem fell out

  • Loved the look and weight of the watch. But I had it for 3 months and the stem/crown fell out, so the watch no longer works.

It took no licking, but it stopped ticking

  • While I was wandering around the airport waiting for departure, unbeknownst to me the stem of the watch fell out and it stopped. Luckily I asked when my flight would board and the airline staff member said "in 5-10 minutes." I looked at my watch and asked her if it would board an hour and a half early, and that's when I noticed something wrong with my new watch. Same Timex as before (Expedition Scout)...BUT no stem guard on this one. Now keep in mind I was not in the process of changing the date or time or otherwise fiddling with the stem; nor did the watch get dropped. Out of nowhere the stem just fell out and the watch hasn't worked since. The original vendor--Kohl's--apparently doesn't sell the model I bought any more, and without the original receipt (do people really keep these after a month or two?) I am just out of luck. First and only Timex I've ever had problems with, so I'll make sure the next watch I get has a stem guard. Not sure how that would keep the stem from just falling out as this one did, but hey! worth a try.
