Review:
Here's the thing I love about Timexes: when you have the "itch" for a new watch, you can satisfy it for between 3-7 hours of paycheck worth of the average American's salary.
Gotta say I love the Expedition Military Field, and I'm surprised there aren't more reviews of it.
positives:
Hands, markers, and hours are fully Lumed
Indiglo if the lume is out of charge
Good case size for 7" wrist!
minute demarcation instead of hours. Never had a watch with this, it's easy to get used to.
Intricate detailing on face - the cavities that the markers fit into, as well as the triangular 12 o'clock marking at a nice touch
skeletal hour and minute hands give it that vintage feel
Indiglo is great - perfect visibility with none of the viewing-angle limitations of indiglo digital Timexes in low or zero-light conditions, right on the crown.
Leather band is SUPREMELY comfortable. This is really a $65 watch? Two keepers, one fixed one adjustable. Flexible connection at lugs makes it a nice fit on the wrist
Grey face and brown band... this looks good with almost anything.
Cons:
wish it had a "night mode" like most digitals and some upper-end analog timexes
date window is way too small, chops off top of digit
lume is not great, but this is a $65 watch, and it has EL backlight
mine had a small production error - dirt or a scratch, barely visible but annoying once noticed - near the center of the dial.
Otherwise, what's not to love?
next up is probably the classic military.

I bought this watch from a local jewler and the dial used to set the time fell off the first full day I wore it. They are going to replace it and Im going to give it another shot but I was not impressed with the first one.
