    Great as usual

  • Yet another nice looking tough watch. This is my 4th Timex only bought it because I lost my other rugged Timex. Its a nice big watch, buy one.

.Rugged, stylish, comfortable, easy to read, Value, reliable

They are accurate tough and beautiful timepieces. I have never had a bad one. I buy new ones to add to the "collection" or if I loose one but they never need replacement.

    Simply Time

  • This watch delivers the time and date with precision. Large white numbers on a black face are easily read ; however, the date numbers are rather small. The biggest problem I have experienced is the Indiglo light button is the winding stem and when the wrist is bent back the stem is contacted causing the light to come on and the battery expires too quickly. This happens during sleep.

  • Had this watch for 2 years and love it. Initially had a problem but warranty service was excellent. Easy to read dial. Comfortable. Received compliments on appearance. Indiglo not real effective with black dial.

.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, stylish, Value, excellent warranty service

indiglo not real bright - not effective

Value! Warranty support tells a lot about the company's positive commitment towards customer satisfaction.

    My Overall Favorite Timex.....

  • I absolutely love this watch, its a perfect blend of classic military styling and functional retro design, perfect case size, the 20mm lug width, the Indiglo illumination, I actually own 2 of them, a mil-tac nato strap looks great on this watch. I am sure I will purchase a couple more of this model before I am through.

.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time

Has a great look and feel, can be worn formally or casually, water resistance is excellent, I do wish there were more Timex's available with screw down crown and caseback as I really feel this would improve all sales of such models with these options, being a watch collector, that is usually the first thing I seach out about a watch for the main appeal before a purchase.

    Large, handsome, & comfortable

  • The large size of the numerals and the retro good looks make this a classic watch to wear. Despite its size, the leather strap is very comfortable. In fact the strap is better made than my Baum & Mercier which just fell apart!

Because Timex continues to make good, honest watches.

    Great style Bad design

  • I really like the style and apparent durability of this watch. However, the over sized knob cathes on the cuff of my pants pocket pulls out and stop the watch. This watch looks good but is effectively useless.

.comfortable, easy to read, Rugged, stylish

    oversized knob

Great watch with wrong side knob

  • This watch is my perfect choice for use, viewing ease, and rugged body. But no protection to prevent the side knob from being depressed when worn on my left wrist. Every time I bend my wrist the knob is depressed using up the battery life by activating the Indiglo light. The light is one of the reasons I bought this model. But I have replaced 2 batteries in less than 2 months. I believe the side knob should be shorter in length to prevent this action like the white face version of this watch. I returned the watch for a refund.

.comfortable, easy to read, Rugged, Worn all the time

    Battery life

I have owned several Timex watches with great satisfaction. This one has a flaw that can be resolved. I would buy it again tomorrow if this issue was fixed.

  • As a Master BBQ judge I; and my fellow judges deal with hot grills sharp edges. I noticed several judges with cracked and scuffed thousand dollar watches. A friend suggested this watch . The nite light is great when you are cooking for 18 hours. We have a 10 minute timed turn in by atomic clock; this watch keeps such good time I have no worries.Buy this for all outdoor events it's not BBQ but can't be beat !! BEST THING I EVER DID!

.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time, takes a lickin!!!

I am so impressed with my T44921; my Rolex;Omega; and others sit in the drawer if it is a Kansas City Barbacue Society event you will see me and my trusty TIMEX. Please contact KCBS.US about providing this watch in their merchandise catalog!!

    Just what I need

  • I purchased this Expedition Retro Metal Field T449219J about a week ago and really love it. It a little bit bigger which is good. Also the hand and numbers glow in the dark. Its well made and is a very attractive watch to wear for all occasions. One thing I would like is for it to show both the date AND the day.

.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, Value, Worn all the time

should have the day showing as well as the date

    Another good one from Timex

  • Great watch,,nice soft leather band, face with numbers big enough to read.Do not really care for the date feature..just something else to change at times..The light is OK, but only adds anotherr frill to a great watch!

Most readable watch I've ever seen

  • I was looking for a highly readable watch as my near vision gets more and more blurry with age. Digital watches are essentially unreadable for me without "cheaters". But when I walked into a WalMart and could see the hands on this watch at the jewelry counter almost from the doorway, I knew this was the one. I hope Timex is going to keep this design on the market for a long time - I'm going to get at least one or two more for backup. I've had my first one a month now and am also very impressed with its accuracy. Using the USNO master clock, it has only lost one second in the month so far. I've also had other folks notice its readability and ask where I bought it. A great overall product. Contrary to other complaints, I haven't lost so many brain cells I can't keep track of what day it is. I just hope the bad-battery stories are statistical anomalies.

.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Worn all the time

Extremely readable, excellent accuracy. Work on the battery problem more.

    Good Inexpensive Watch

  • The numbers are very legible and it keeps great time. The Indiglo is very handy. I wear this watch when I travel because it's easy to set it to different time zones. Very comfortable leather strap and the watch has a nice laid-back "earthy" look - not too "in your face". I have 2 Expeditions - get yours soon because my first one is out of production (and I like it also!).

.comfortable, easy to read, reliable, Rugged, Value

Owned 2 Of Them; Horrible Quality

  • I saw this watch, and it was perfect. I loved the way it looked, the price was great, and I've had many Timex watches over the years, and they've always been reliable.

The first thing I noticed was how poorly the Indiglo worked at night. It was very hard to read. The hands were luminescent, as well, but it was very dim, and only worked for a few minutes after holding the watch near a bright light source.

Six months, or so after I bought it, I noticed the stem was missing. I have no idea what happened to it. I took the watch back to Wal-Mart, but the guy said it had been too long since I'd bought it, and I'd have to send the watch back to Timex. I needed a watch right away, so I just bought another, identical one, and stuck the broken one in a drawer, meaning to send it back at a later time.

Well, sure enough, 6 months, or so later, the stem on the second watch turned up missing. Disgusted, I put the second broken watch in the same drawer as the other one, and went and bought something else.

Even though I don't recall doing anything that could have broken the first watch, I didn't pursue it, because my having done something to break it was a possibility. Two watches with the same problem, though, pretty much rules that out, in my mind.

I was cleaning out my desk the other day, and found the broken watches. Makes me really mad. I knew Timex watches were inexpensive, I didn't know they were cheap.
