Great Combo of Analog and Features

  • I had a Timex analog/digital combination when I was younger and loved it. I broke my last analog Timex, and the T49828 is a great replacement. The features are all that I want, and the white face goes with anything I wear. The only downside I've found so far is summer sweat staining the band; I've used saddle soap a couple of times to clean it and it comes right back. Great purchase if you want a casual watch you can dress up and still take camping!

.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, stylish, Worn all the time

leather band stains but can be cleaned

Quality, features, rugged, and past satisfaction with several Timex products

    analog is good, digital isn't

  • Overall this is a good watch. It is durable and keeps accurate time. However, the instructions for the digital are incredibly bad. There is nothing intuitive about setting the digital settings and that includes the date. I still haven't been able to figure out how to get the alarm not to go off at midnight each night, and I am not a technophobe or neophyte. If it weren't for the hieroglyphics which substitute as instructions for setting the digital components, I would easily recommend this watch.

.Performance, reliable, Worn all the time

poorly written instuctions, digital too difficult to program

Overall good quality at a fair price

Last watch you will need to buy

  • I have had mine for about 5 years. It is tough as nails, not to heavy, water, dust, dirt and mud proof. This is my second one. I had the first one about 8 years and took it to wal-mart to get the battery replaced and she used a HAMMER to close it and cracked the glass. It still worked but was no longer water proof. Great watch at a good price.

    Replacement Timex Expidition Analog/Digital

  • This is a replacement Timex Expidition Analog/Digital purchased in 2008 The old watch (white face) is currently unavailable (8/11) and is slimmer and less bulky than the current replacement. Wish Timex would make a dressier analog digital watch with a metal band.

Size & weight, not a dress watch

    Great Travel Watch

  • I spend, at least, 2 weeks out of each month traveling the world for my business. I wanted a watch that does have style, yet is reasonably priced and will allow me to keep track of different time zones. This watch is perfect! It is easy to read and set and is very comfortable to wear all day and all night.

.comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the time

Timex has always provided me with a great product for a reasonable about of money.

Thicker and Heavier than my last 2 Expedition Combos

  • I was disappointed that this Expedition Metal Combo is almost 2 times thicker and heavier than my last 2 Expedition Combos, even though from the picture it appeared to be identical except for minor cosmetic differences of the face design. I only ordered it online because I could no longer find an Expedition Combo anywhere locally, including stores that used to carry them. I am very disappointed that I cannot get another of the Expedition Combo watches that I like! It is less comfortable because of being so thick and heavy.

    Timex expedition model

  • An excelent watch. I've been use this model for the past ten years, and it was a good experience, the design of the case, the light on the back, and the resistence to the elements, including water.

    great expectations

  • Just got this watch today. It is a replacement for one from another maker that died in less than a year. I have worn Timex for many years, with one or two exceptions, and they have always come through. My other timex is about 12 years old now. This model is a large, thick, heavy watch but is very comfortable. The larger dial makes it easy to read. Instructions for setting the watch are not difficult, if followed closely. The digital data is easily read except in poor lighting, but the Indiglo overcomes that, and I like the way it stays on for a few seconds without having to hold it. I didn't like the buckle band, but that was easily swapped for an Expedition velcro. The only complaint I have is that the second hand does not line up exactly on the hash marks as it marches around the dial.

    Great Value/Nice Looking Watch

  • I was in the Time Factory Outlet Store the other day and wound up purchasing two Timex watches for less then the price of what I would have paid for one watch in most other stores. My watch collection includes watches by Citizen, Seiko, Bulova, Michael Kors, Skagen and Kenneth Cole. Not the most expensive watch brands but in my opinion good quality brands. So now I can add Timex to my list of quality watches at a good price. This Expedition has a lot of the features I like and looks great too. I like the fact that it combines analog with digital, I like the fact that it has an alarm and I like the fact that the white dial with big black numbers make it easy to see. Oh and it has an INDIGLO Night Light, What else do you need? I read some reviews that said the watch was heavy and I just don't get it. Compared to most watches this Expedition is very light. I can barely feel it on my wrist. Who knows maybe it's just me but I think the watch is light and very comfortable on my wrist. The watch comes with a giant instruction sheet that in my opinion made it very easy to figure out how to set everything up in a matter of minutes. This watch is definitely worth $65 dollars but at the Time Factory I bought it for $45 which makes it an even better bargain. I definitely recommend this watch. It might not have the big price tag but it's loaded with quality features
