“Great features, weak band”

Got one of these with rubber band, the band gave up exactly after one year, strange thing is the rubber band on my 25th anniversary Iron Man (the one with silver resin case and black rubber bands) also broke the same day!.Battery life, easy to read, Performance, reliable, stylish, Worn all the timeQuality, Uncomfortable, the rubber/resin watch band is of low qualityThough Timex watches are not expensive but I liked my Iron Man a lot, I was lucky the watch band broke while the watch was on the table... Please, improve your rubber/resin watch bands. By the way can I replace the Humvee module with any Expedition ones?

“Great watch for fishermen”

Review:

I have purchased several Expedition watches over the years. Most have been very functional and provide all the things I need in a watch to be used for tournament bass fishing. First off, the alarm function eliminates a need to carry a travel alarm clock. Once it wakes us up in the morning it then gets set to advise us of 30 minutes before weigh-in.

Next I really like the digital compass. While not normally the case, every once in awhile we can get lost in dense fog on a lake. Having a back up for the GPS is a must. The battery life is also very good.

Disavantages: The outer ring moves around a little too easily and is usually out of place. The bands do tend to wear out faster than the watch and need to be washed regularly so they don't smell. I like the convenience of the velco band when using the watch while fishing but also enjoy the leather band for a more formal look.

Lastly, I have had excellent service. One of the displays on digital date quit functioning. I returned the watch for repair and was given a brand new watch..a more current version. Just bought another one as a Christmas gift for my fishing partner. Thank you, Timex..Battery life, easy to read, reliable, Value, Worn all the time

I have had this wacth for about ten years. I bought from Cabella's for $56.00.The reason I bought the compass expadition is because I fish twenty miles offshore in the culf of Mexico and that is just one more backup compass. I also ware it to work everday. It's juit a great watch. If it ever stops running, Iwill definitly buy another one right away.

Everything seemed to be good at first; then I tryed to get the new date to set. At time change it wouldn't re-set. 2nd; the strap would be better if it was a more solid material. I use the watch for its digital compass on emergency situations; It cannot take jerking and snagging in the woods, it doesn't handle rugged out door punishment. The strap breaks easy.

I like the watch, but the wrist strap irrates my wrist and I have to take the watch off after about 12 hour s of wear. The wrist strap should be softer so it does not scrape on the writst.

This is my second Expedition model watch and I only replaced the first one because I scratched the face after about 4-5 years of daily 18 hr use. This model has been great. I seem to be a little ruff on the bands but I wear my 18 hrs a day 5 days a week. I like the look and feel of the leather and nylon together. The battery life is great. I will buy another one when the time comes..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the timeThis line of watches are great. You build a good durable rugged watch that is designed well. The band pins don't rip out like other brands.

A comfortable watch, lightweight and all the features you need without the bulk and weight of other watches.
As A day hiker I like to keep track of our heading, the compass feature once calibrated is easy to use and provides +/- 10% accuracy, close enough to keep us on the right trail..stylish, comfortable, Battery life, easy to read, Value, reliableI wish the compass were more accurate.

“Great Compass But Overall the Watch is Lacking”

Review:

I bought this watch as a replacement to a low end Timex Expedition. I wanted more gadgets so I bought this watch largely for the digital compass.

The digital compass did not disappoint me. It seemed fairly accurate and useful. The rest of the watch is lacking.

There is only one time zone. Not good for a traveller.

The stock strap has a velcro closure. Over time the velcro gets matted and stops sticking closed. For an action watch this is a guarantee that you will lose it. My last watch with a Velcro strap was lost when I jumped in to the water from a rope swing..digital compasslack of features, strap closure is velcroAny watch with an advanced feature like a digital compass should have a base package of features like 2 time zones (amongst others).

I'm wearing this watch right now and have been for about 5 years. I'm on the second or third leather or web band, but the watch itself has held up well.

If you're looking for something snazzy to wear to the party downtown, skip this one, but it's just right for the utilitarian in anyone. The compass feature has helped me out of more than one jam and the batteries seem to hold up well, despite two sons' obsession with the backlight feature.

This one has been over mountains, through creeks and rivers, been banged against a few trees and probably dropped a dozen times or more. Keeps great time and it's easy to read..Battery life, Performance, reliable, Rugged, Worn all the timeLifelong Timex user, but the backlight is fading in this one. Not sure if I'll replace it with the same or move onto something else.

I have tried many watches for underwater useage. This watch by far has out lasted all the others with in thie price range. I have trusted Timex for many years both in civilian and military careers. I dive for a hobby and use my cumpas to find my way back to my boat or the dive point. I have used watches that were priced in the hundreds and they would fail under multiple dives, even being listed for a deeper depth. I will always use this watch for all my timely needs..Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, stylish, Value, Worn all the timeneeds a better watch bandI will always recomend a product that serves me for many years at a reasonablr cost.

“My Timex”

Review:

I bought my watch straight from TIMEX.com. I have always owned a Timex and bought a digital compass watch before it was called Expedition. I wore this watch for about 7 years before the battery died. Replacing the battery is OK, but you loose water sealing ability. I decided to buy another because I needed it for underwater use. I use the compass while diving to msrk notes of direction when treasure hunting. I also use it at times while traveling the off beaten roads and paths. For great reliability of your watch, this is one that will serve you and pays for its self by the many uses it has. the only problem I have ever had was the watch band would wear out before the watch.

What happened to the Timex watch that was strapped to the propeller of an outboard motor. It just disappeared. I bet it is still ticking.
