    For deployment

  • I am impressed at how accurate and sensitive the compass is out of the box. I also like the color scheme of the display. The indigo works great at night. It feels durable, and has great features for while I'm deployed. I really like the strap catch, which is designed to lock in place so the excess strap stays against your wrist. I had a Casio pathfinder and it failed a lot in the field, then completely errored out and stopped working. I never found all it's features useful. This watch has more useful timers and alerts. A+

    Great Features, but...

  • This watch has great features and I have read several good reviews on other sites from owners of this model; however, at this time I have to give it a single star rating because of the lack of customer service. I have been unable to locate one for purchase and the Timex website has shown it as out of stock for at lease the last five months. I have used the Timex website to email Customer Service three times in the last three months and asked about future availability or if this model has been discontinued. I am still interested in buying the Expedition Digital Compass but, based on their silence, nobody at Timex seems interested in selling one. I have had great service from my other Timex watches in the past but I may be forced to consider a Casio model.
