Great watch, but weird CUSTOM band.

  • I've had this watch over a year. It's great-- rugged, easy to read, feature loaded. Only complaint is that the band is custom fit to the watch, and when my band broke I realized that I would need to order the exact replacement band from Timex vice a band from a local shopping outlet. It's only $10, including shipping, so I can't fault Timex there. My only concern is that they may stop supporting this watch as it has been out for a few years, and I won't be able to obtain a new strap in the future.

    FORGET G-SHOCKS

  • This watch has way more features and is equally tough as any casio g out there!casio g shocks easily get up to 300 dollars for their feature packed models.timex also has a much better customer support center too!trust me buy this watch and you will not get another tiny digit, hard to see, soft barely audible alarm g-shock again!

    Good watch, but....

  • I bought this watch more than a few years ago and it made it through four combined deployments between Iraq and Afghanistan. Let's be realistic, its a watch and it kept time. It has a timer, alarm, and other stuff that I just didn't use as I did not have a need for it. This watch has been through thick and thin with me and held up through just about everything. I replaced the battery a couple times, re-set the watch and it kept on trucking'. It is now 2014 and I still love the watch. This watch is a work watch only. Its green and ugly but its durable. I can say that I got every cent out of this watch. So recently the watch band started to crack where I bend it back to secure the clasp. I have looked just about everywhere trying to find a replacement strap for it. I do understand that the watch is s little older and people aren't lining up to keep extra parts for these on hand.

So I have made the decision to get a new watch after almost 10 years. Timex has theirs listed a little too high for me on the website and with the lack of replacement parts these days I can't say I will stay with a Timex.

I do love this watch and if you buy one you should be happy with it. I was.

    disappointed

  • I was gifted this watch a month ago. Upon arrival it had issues with buttons not springing back properly, the indiglo light making a buzzing sound so I decided instead of a refund to get it fixed. That cost me time wasted and $8 shipping fee. These so called technicians returned the watch to me with exactly the same issues. Not one was addressed and to have the nerve to omit the box I sent it withn
