i got the watch two years ago and wore it for about six months until the alarm hands snapped and the indiglo stopped working does anyone know where to get it fixed??????? I live in ireland , do i send it away or would a watch dealers be ableto fix it???.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, stylish, Value, great until it brokeQuality, two of my timex watches broke after six monthsnormally a good rugged yet stylish watch but they can break easily enough without damaging it yourself

This was not what I expected. When there is a sweep second hand the expectation is that that will be used for the normal watch timekeeping function and not only available for the chrono. With this particular watch, the sweep second hand is not used in a normal sense and actually is a distraction. Unfortunately, none of the writeup on this site bothered to explain that bit of "functionality". And if you look closely at the picture in the add, it appears that the small inset dials are for the chrono and alarm since they are 'zeroed out' while the sweep second hand appears to be in use. That in itself is a bit misleading.

Review:
This watch is a fantastic timepiece. The alarm function is what sets it apart from your standard chronograph movement. The tachymeter is a bit useless for the everyman, but its nice as a novelty. I have this watch in stainless steel, stainless band, and white face. It took me a little while to repair the chronograph reset button when it got stuck, and getting the alarm stem & crown back together properly was a hassle (you can very easily desynchronize the way the alarm indicators rotate around the inner bezel).
As far as getting it repaired, p0mccoy, you'll probably have to send it back to Timex. They don't sell their parts to vendors, so when they break the only route is to get it back to the manufacturer. If it is an issue where the hands have just fallen off the pinion (rather than actually breaking off) you can probably get away with taking it to a local watch repair shop.
