I work in many inviroments, wet to bone dry, water to motor oil. I put it on new and it dosen't come off till it's dead. I abuse it, wash it in the shower or in gasoline, what ever it takes to get my wrist clean, the watch gets the same treatment, the same way it got dirty. I get them a couple at a time so I have a back-up available. I seldom have a watch make less than a year. For what it goes thru, it more than pays for itself. I've tried others that don't make a month in the same inviroment. This is the best for the money that I have ever had, for several years now, but, I only use the Expedition Camper series..Rugged, Performance, comfortable, Worn all the time, Battery life, easy to read, reliable, ValueIt meets my personal requirements of being able to withstand the abuse that I put a watch thru.

I would guess that the watch itself is fine. I may never know as I cannot wear the thing. The band is too small. I don't have very large wrists and don't understand how this could possibly be for an adult male, maybe for a small teen..easy to readUncomfortable, band too smallDue to the band size I might recommend it to a child but not an adult.

Review:
This watch has survived two months camping at 12,000 feet on Mt. Erebus in Antarctica, at -30F. It has descended into the crater of the volcano where the lava is at 2000F and the wind is -30F. I had owned the watch for two years and was driving my scientist son to the airport for his trip to Antarctica when he realized he had forgotten his watch. I said, "here, take my Timex." It survived. That was 2004. This week (Aug. 2010) my wife accidentally put it through the washer and drier. It's still ticking!.Battery life, easy to read, Performance, reliable, Rugged, ValueIncredible value and reliability.
