“Great wildland fire watch”

I have used the same watch since '07 on 8 different wildland fire assignments across the US. The watch keeps perfect time, is great on batteries, seems to be water and dust resistant in the worst of conditions that includes sweat, dirt, grime, and constant impact. Over 5 years the only thing that has broken on this watch was the strap keeper. When the strap gets filthy it's a simple matter to soak it briefly in a dish of Dawn or similar dish soap. Almost little or no upkeep required. This watch works and performs where I've had other, much more expensive watches stop. On the fire-line everything must work w/o fail as designed. We don't have time nor the resources to replace a watch if it stops working because the office is now the side of a burning mountain, or a prescribed fire in the Florida rough. It's elegance is that this watch functions like dependable, easily maintained, and lives up to its "takes a beating" heritage. This model of Timex is tougher than I am.

This watch is so lightweight you don't even know it's there! Super easy to read, especially in the dark with the indiglo feature. It keeps excellent time. Looks great for any occasion, work or formal. I got it 1 1/2 years ago and I'd buy it again. I got it for work but I like it so much I don't want it to get beat up so I use one of my "junky" watches for work. I have my first Timex I got for my birthday in 1967 and it's still going!.Battery life, comfortable, easy to read, Performance, reliable, stylish, Value, Worn all the timeTimex watches are the best for quality and value. I believe you're wasting your money to pay for those expensive, heavy watches that don't last as long as a Timex.
