Rainy Road Trip

What to wear when you’re stuck in a car for ten (!) hours in the rain, but still want to show up at your friends’ wedding weekend looking… not like you just spent ten hours stuck in a car in the rain?
Well, first, every piece has to serve two purposes: 1) Comfortable, and 2) Cute, please.
My solution: go for simple shapes and colors, dressed up with easy accessories. I decided on a pair of black stretch jeans and a relaxed-fit grey tee, and then added a printed scarf, a classic black watch, and a dramatic crystal ring for sparkle.
Two last touches: curly hair courtesy of the thunderstorm that trailed us the entire way up to Maine, and the best rainboots ever.
Now, did I actually see anyone once we finally arrived at our destination? Nope. Went straight to sleep. But I could have. And that’s what matters.
