Rainy-Day Blues

Usually I stick to a single menswear-inspired piece at a time, just for…you know, balance. An oversized watch with a delicate dress, say, or maybe a structured blazer with a pair of skinny jeans and heels.
But the other afternoon, I decided to just grab whatever looked good out of my closet…and ended up in a Boys Club outfit from head to toe.
It was a miserably drizzly, dreary day, and I wanted to be cozy while jumping all over town for meetings and errands, so I topped my most comfortable pair of boyfriend jeans with an oversized blazer-style coat. Even my shoes were styled after a classic men’s loafer.
What kept the whole thing from heading over the line from “boyfriend” into “boring”: the bright accessories, including a royal blue watch and a rainbow of a scarf.
