Announcing: Ramshackle Glam’s Jordan Reid as Timex Brand Ambassador

Hi! I'm so, so (so) thrilled to announce that Ramshackle Glam has partnered up with Timex as their newest brand ambassador.

So excited that I dressed up as a rainbow.

For the next three months, I'll be posting everything from outfit inspiration to lifestyle ideas (and videos, of course - our first is coming straight from the streets at Fashion Week, where I’m acting as Timex’s Roving Reporter) right here on the StyleWatch page...so stay tuned, 'cause I have some fun ideas in the works.

To kick things off, let's talk: why watches?

Like a lot of people, once I got that very first beeper (wow, did I ever feel cool with that thing hooked onto my belt), I sort of thought, well, that's that. I have a built-in must-have time-telling device on my person at all times…so a watch seemed kind of redundant.

And then, a few months ago, I rediscovered my friend The Watch. I started wearing one every single day, all the time, and I remembered: oh, right.

Watches are great.

First of all, you know what's really nice? Not having to dig around for a cell phone that may or may not have disappeared into the black hole you call a purse for ten minutes just to figure out whether you're running late.

But beyond the enormous convenience of being able to tell the time with a turn of your wrist, here's something else I forgot about watches:

They're just so pretty.

I'm all about accessorizing (I kind of do it to excess)...and watches? A whole new world of accessories. Whether you’re classic, sporty, glam, whatever, there’s a watch (or twenty) for you.

And if they're Timex watches we're talking about, they're also eminently affordable (my favorite watch of the moment is the gold one pictured here), which is lovely.
