Rated 4 out of 5 by rainking63 from Decent watch, starting to deteriorate I've owned this watch for roughly 3 years now, and it's done it's job. I used the tide function almost every day on my boat. However, I would hope that Timex will offer this watch in the future with a few minor improvements. Recently, the tactile buttons on the side of the case have started to bend with normal use. The crown was also ripped out of its housing when I removed my backpack and I can no longer set the time. I believe that if the buttons were more recessed and the crown had better protection this would be the PERFECT watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hatem from Good but straps quality poor, my straps broken. I'like to replace my straps with good quality one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaidenSpain from Excellent Watch I don't agree with the negative reviews. I've had my watch for 9 years now. I've used it every day. I've gone on mountain expeditions, on boats, mountain biking, climbing, etc. Never had a problem. The compass is accurate. The rubber strap lasts. The last time I bought a replacement was 5 years ago (which can easily be purchased by calling customer service or on ebay). My only minor complaint is the back light. It's not strong enough, but it's not a big deal. Either I treat my watches with care, or everyone else treats theirs like garbage Overall, I highly recommend this watch. And for the price, you cannot go wrong!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JoeC from Great watch - Junk strap The watch is great and easy to adjust the tide time. There needs to be a better strap. Both attachment points came un-glued. I am having a difficult time finding a replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SeaDog from I think about this watch all the time I have owned this watch twice in my life and have worn a couple watches since, including the most recent apple watch. I haven't worn a watch in a few months, and when I think about which watch I would wear, I think about this watch. My first watch helped navigate me through a few years in the Army, helped me keep a good heading, was always on time for formation, and even knew better than most barracks dwellers what PT's to wear on the way to the PT field. Unfortunately I dropped the watch one day and broke the crown and bent a button. Fast-forward to the second, identical watch, and I was still using it to navigate through the civilian world for a long time. While camping I managed to break the well-worn in strap, and crudely sewn it back together. And have long since retired that beautiful timepiece. I think it's time for a third.

Rated 2 out of 5 by brokenstrap from Don't buy, hard to replace strap Got this watch as a gift, loved it and got lots on compliments on it's looks, but recently the strap broke and I've been unable to get a replacement (they are available on that old internet auction site, but no sellers are shipping to the US).

Rated 1 out of 5 by kipper from Tide compass watch - save your money not worth the expense - battery dies quickly and the back can not be removed or replaced at home without special or homemade tools - lifting lip too thin and fragile and can not hand press back when done - SUGGESTION - keep shopping
