Expedition® Metal Field is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from not rugged It looks nice, the face and hands are easy to read even in low light (I have the dark-faced one), and Indiglo is great as always, but after a year of wearing this watch to work at a warehouse, the band is about to break, one of the loops broke, and the crystal is heavily scratched. Also, setting the date is so difficult, I've stopped bothering. This watch is not rugged at all, and should be worn as a fashion accessory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this watch Do not understand some of these reviews. I have this watch and a collection of other watches. Have tried to break this watch without success. Wear it doing construction and yard work around the house. I have tried to make it fail and it will not stop working. have vibrated the living daylights out of it and just keeps going. Swim all the time with it and never fails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does everything I want a watch to do I was surprised to find negative reviews of this watch. I'm writing to counter those. I've been wearing the watch daily for about three years now with no complaints — when I say it wear it daily, that includes manual labor on a production floor, hunting, fishing, camping, and misc. tomfoolery. It's a versatile watch capable of withstanding abuse while being stylish and minimalist enough to wear dressed up. Hard to beat for the price. I don't take any special care of my watch and it's only received minimal scratches on the crystal and slight discoloration from sweat corrosion. I've replaced the band once. I may have changed the battery once, too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's not the absolute most perfectest of all perfect watches in the whole world. Pros: - Indiglo still works after three years - Is water resistant - Date works as it should and isn't difficult to adjust - Watch band lasts as long as expected and is easily replaced - And (most importantly) it keeps time Cons: - The silver finish will start to corrode from sweat and general wear/tear - Sucker is loud (more observation than con)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value. Good dependable watch. Great value. Reliable. Performs better than some of my more expensive watches.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plating This watch has been OK. The band doesn't last. The plating reacted to my skin and came off so now the stem is bare brass with some green tarnish in the grooves. The case has also lost plating and has craters along the edge and some green. This watch would continue to be OK but I'm sure it will get greener. Not what you want. It should have been steel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Takes a licking and keeps on ticking? I have owned Timex watches for over fifty years. The ones that USED TO BE made in the United States are still going strong. If, however, you are hoping for the same quality today I'm afraid you will be sorely disappointed. The Indiglo feature on average lasts about a week. They will probably take this review down so purchase at your own risk. Buyer beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still ticking I've been putting this watch through its paces for over 10 YEARS! Still works fine everyday. It keeps perfect time and date. The light quit working several years ago and now the gaskets are failing. I bought this watch in 2005 or 2006 and still wear it everyday. It steams up from the moisture in the case but it continues to function! Shopping for another Timex now!
