Rated 5 out of 5 by paulmz from Great, low-profile watch. I received the white-face Expedition Metal Field watch as a gift well over a decade ago. Although the watch is still going strong (needs a new battery for the Indiglo) I received the gray-face Expedition Metal Field watch as a gift about eight years ago. Both watches have been great and extremely durable. So far I've changes straps on the white-face once and the gray-face twice and also only changed the battery once in each. I would definitely buy this watch again- but there's no need since they last forever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by thestrangelizard from One more Expedition... This watch was a replacement. The first Expedition I owned was very similar to this one, purchased about 5 years ago. It failed, I presume, due to a dead battery.I didn't bother determining if that was the case, because I had received SUCH satisfaction with that watch. I regularly kayak both fresh water and salt, and I also cycle long and grueling distances. The previous watch stood with me throughout, and I have to say, for someone my age who was around for the original 'takes a licking and keeps on ticking'...clearly Timex product continues to do just that. This purchase was a replacement along with two others, as I need backup for travel. I'll note further, that the white watch face, combined with the Indiglo feature, has proven to be highly reliable in dark conditions at arms length and challenging conditions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by outsider from Great price, but not durable I found it on sale and got a great price, but less than a year and the dial/stem broke off. I sent it in, had the entire watch replaced and less than a month later, the dial/stem fell off again. I've read this is an issue on this site with Expedition Metal models. I specifically purchased this style because the dial/stem looks protected. I'm going to send this one back to Timex and request a different model. My previous Timex watch that was similar in style/design, lasted about 12 years and took a real beating, so I was surprised this model didn't last 1 year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by dan66 from INDIGLO quits working Bought one last Feb. at Walmart -INDIGLO lasted less than a year. Next one I bought from Timex online and received in December. The INDIGLO quit in less than 2 months. I'm wearing it as I write this but am not happy having to turn a light on to see the time. Wish you would make one with fixed, non-removable pins to use with a Nato band. I use my own band anyway. And make them better. I'm hoping to find an older one at a garage sale this summer. Never had this light problem with my old ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wayne from Best watch I've ever owned. A comfortable watch that's both durable and suitable for outdoor work without sacrificing looks. Wears well and is easy to maintain. Only possible complaint is the date window not being lit alongside the main face.

Rated 4 out of 5 by edsud1077 from A Good watch with one exeption I like the watch. It is rugged and dependable for the most part. The one issue I have with tit is the Indigo feature stopped working about 6 months after it was given to me as a gift. I changed the batter with no effect to the Indigo feature. Other than that one issue, I love it..
